The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Comments about evolv Shaman Rock Shoes:
Thought these shoes would be uncomfortable based on their aggressive style. I have used these for months top roping and bouldering. I purchased these to replace my Sportiva Katana's which I loved. This is my first pair of Evolv shoes and I must say they are comfortable and allow me to get in those tiny cracks. The rubber sticks allowing me to smear with confidence. The heel is fully covered making heel hooking solid.
As mentioned earlier sizing is off. This seems to be the case from manufacturer to manufacturer; Sportiva, Five Ten, Evlolv
I am a 8.5 in Five Ten Moccasym and 9 in Sportiva. However with this shoe specifically I am a 11. Recommendation- Try them on in store.

Well, first off, I want to say these shoes are worth it! As the review above says, "toes for days!" and it's so true! Amazing edging power due to its super aggressive shape. You can dial your toe into the smallest of edges and be assured its not going anywhere! As many have also said, this shoe doesn't flex or adapt to your foot, what comes out of the box will stay that way. On that note, my only "issue" with the shoe is the sizing. I had to order 3 before getting the right size for my foot. I ended up going a half-size larger than my street shoe! You definitely don't need to downsize to guarantee performance, it's already built into the shoes design. With this in mind, these are slightly more comfortable than other down-turned shoes, but I wouldn't recommend wearing these for more than 1 pitch. Also, I'm not sure if my foot is extra narrow, but after strapping these on my feet, I have a lot of excess strap hanging off which has gotten caught on stuff while climbing. Other than that, great sport climbing shoe!

Comments about evolv Shaman Rock Shoes:
This was my third pair of rock climbing shoes and i am extremly impressed! Ive used it on long 5.13 projects and on boulder problems and they work amazingly for both. I usually dont wear socks in my shoes, but when im working on bouldering, i will sometimes wear socks just to make my foot cram in a bit more for better power. I will definatly keep using these and buy another pair when these are worn out!

Comments about evolv Shaman Rock Shoes:
Amazing amazing shoe. I've always worn Miura's, and in my opinion the Miura's are still the best overall shoe. HOWEVER, I'm truly in love with this shoe. First, the fit is just beautiful. Make sure you size them to your street size. Pain level is comparable to the Miura. You'll be taking them off immediately after the route. Second, for climbing vertical to overhanging sport routes, this shoe is brilliant. I mean brilliant. Better than the Miura's, YES. If you're looking for a do everything shoe, its the wrong shoe. But, if you're looking to push into or get near to 12's and above (sport routes).... get these shoes. You'll fall in love with them...
Also, props to REI for great customer service and speedy delivery!

Comments about evolv Shaman Rock Shoes:
These shoes are incredible. I had my reservations about Evolv's rubber, but after putting these shoes to work over and over again I can say the rubber is great. Where these shoes really excel is on the tiniest edges. They can stick to 'em like glue and you have complete confidence. I really like them for anything vertical to overhanging. Climbing on slabs in these would be a nightmare. I can't speak to much to sizing since it is different for everyone, but I went down one full size from my street shoe and they are definitely tight. You may not have to go down as much. For me, they are too painful to wear for anything longer than one pitch.

Comments about evolv Shaman Rock Shoes:
more agressive than the evolv defy VTR's which i have had a couple of pairs of prior to this. great traction by comparison to the defy's, but a bit less feel. Happy with how they are working out for me, but they do take a bit of getting used to.
The pressure on the last joint of big toe is pretty intense. fit is similar to the defy's, small heel cup and wide toe box, which suits my foot shape.

Comments about evolv Shaman Rock Shoes:
I tested these out when Evolv had a demo day at my climbing gym. I've heard great things about them so I was excited to see how they perform. I wear a 10 in street shoes so I decided this was a good starting point. I couldn't even fit my foot into the shoe. The 10.5 was almost as bad, it wasn't until I put on the 11's that I was able to do any climbing. They were great on the wall once I got sized right but be warned that they are already sized small and designed aggressively so they'll feel extra small. Definitely a shoe to try on before purchasing.

Comments about evolv Shaman Rock Shoes:
I wear a size 10.5 street shoe and ordered a size 10 Shaman so that they would fit tight. However, it's near impossible to squeeze my foot in. I would reccommend ordering per your actual shoe size as these don't allow much stretch.
