Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good watch from a cycling perspective I bought this watch primarily for cycling. I chose a watch over a bike computer because I wanted the versatility to also use it for hiking and jogging. Having said that, I have had the watch for a couple weeks and only used it for cycling so far. In addition, I wanted a less expensive and smaller device. I have very small wrists and this is one of the smallest GPS watches on the market. I thought it was a bit bulky at first but quickly got used to it and bardly notice it anymore. I have not had any problems with the watch. I get a signal quickly (usually in less than 10 seconds). Having said that, it seems that it works very similar to the GPS I used to have for my car. That is, if you start the watch at the same location as where you last stopped it, it finds the signal quickly. However, if your location is very different from your last use, it take a bit longer. During my rides, I have had no problems with loss of signal and my routes/mileage are all very accurate. The screen is big and easy to read. For cycling, you can use to have the watch display "speed" instead of "pace." This is pretty much the only consideration the device has for cyclists. Other aspects (i.e. calories burned) are calculated as if you were running. My biggest concern when I first bought it was that the battery life with GPS on is only 5 hours (one of the shortest on the market). However, I have done a 5.5 hour ride and not had the battery die, so I know that the battery does last at least its advertised length of time. The screen is big and easy to read. There are a total of three screens you can toggle between. The firsts has the current time and date. The other two screens can each display two stats: distance, time elapsed, pace, or calories burned. It is fully customizable so you can have those elements in whichever combination you choose. The only complaint I have is that it forces you to choose one option for the "pace" category between current pace, average pace, current speed, and average speed. You can not, for example, have average speed on one screen, and current speed on another. You have to choose between which of these statistics you want to know during your workout.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great GPS I run just a few miles a week and didn't want to invest loads of money on a GPS right now. This device is PERFECT for the begining runner or even seasoned runner on a budget. I would buy this GPS time and time again. My only wish is that I could add a heart rate monitor to the package. If I could do that it'd be perfect!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE IT! long time runner, I used to drive running routes, then switched to using online mapping, and finally mobile aps. I stayed away from GPS devices because they seemed bulky and too confusing. I want to know how far, how fast, how long. this little device does EXACTLY that! it is SUPER easy to set up (took me a couple minutes with just a glance at directions) I can get all the feedback I need easily, and can toggle between screens for additional info. the watch is very lightweight, not cumbersome, and is a perfect size for a woman, or someone with really small wrists. I didn't want to feel like I was lugging a small computer on my arm. easy to set up on my computer, and import to my mapmyrun account. it is accurate and easy to use, with great battery life. my favorite piece of running gear (besides my shoes!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Time. Distance. Pace. That's all most people really need. Pace was an important feature to me and chose this watch based on it's good reviews for this function. It seems to work great so far. Dont really use the auto-pause or virtual pacer functions, but the auto-lap is great. My only complaint is with the Garmin Connect program, which is an online tool to keep track of your runs. My wife and I have been sharing this watch, so it would be nice if we could input multiple users so that we can keep our runs separate. Certainly not a deal breaker though. Overall I'm glad we paid the extra $30 to get this watch over the New Balance or Timex options.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple, effective GPS watch I love this watch. I am a marathon runner and have been casually looking for a GPS watch for years, but was always scared off because of the extensive data points and confusing menus; they all offered way more information than I needed/wanted and were so bulky. This little watch is EXACTLY what I needed. It accurately measures distance and time while also providing very consistent instantaneous pacing. It is super easy to use -- just a couple buttons -- and getting set up with the online program is a breeze. It also comes in cute colors and does not look overly bulky on my slim (female) wrist. A feature that I personally LOVE is the run/walk setting -- I have mine set so it beeps after nine minutes letting me know it's time to walk, and beeps again a minute later to let me know it's time to run again. A major feature, that is probably common to all GPS watches and the reason I wanted one, is that it auto laps so I know how fast I ran each mile, rather than just taking total distance and time and calculating my average pace per mile. The ONE thing I would change is the battery life -- just 5 hours with the GPS on. This has not been a problem in training runs so far, but I would worry on marathon day that it might not survive my 4+ hours of running, plus warm up time, etc. Despite that, I would definitely recommend this watch to anyone looking for a simple watch that gives them just core data in a simple, easy-to-use format.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Watch! I have had this for about 3 months now. Overall, this is a great watch. It is easy to use, picks up signal quickly and keeps the signal. I chose this watch b/c the price was good and the size was not ridiculously huge like the other GPS watches. My bf has the boy version and likes his watch as well. It syncs easily with Garmin Connect as well. This is a basic GPS watch, so I knew what I was getting when I bought it. It doesn't have as many of the fancy features of the more expensive watches, but it has the basic features that I need to track my runs - distance, pace, time. If I want to see my calories, mapping, etc. I can see that easily online after I upload the data to my comp. I hope this watch lasts a long time as I am very satisfied with it. I would definitely recommend it to those who are looking for a basic GPS watch w/ easy to use features.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressed! Within minutes of opening the box, I was using the Forerunner 10 on a run. The weather was overcast and rainy and I ran through a wooded trail north of Seattle with no loss of signal. To verify the accuracy, I mapped the run on google and the distances matched nearly perfectly. In fact, I believe the Garmin was more accurate. Connecting with my computer was incredibly simple and syncing with Garmin's website was a piece of cake.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I need to know I use it to keep track of current pace, distance, average pace and total time while training or running a variety of distances (5K to half marathons). The numbers on the screen are large and easy to see for aging eyes. I easily customized which two values I wanted to see on each screen; I wanted current pace and distance on the first screen, total time and calories on the second, time of day and date on the third. I don't need any other data to improve or track of my performance(e.g. heart rate). I like the lap, auto pause and goal race pacer features. It is easy to review my run: overall average pace, per mile (or lap) paces and total distance. It is not bulky; the buttons and read-outs are easy to interact with while running or when tired. It finds the satellites quickly (1-3 mins). It would be nice to have the battery last more than 6 hours for longer hiking trips, but it is also nice to be unplugged in the wilderness. I am not sure how water resistant it might be.
