        This rain jacket goes with me anywhere and everywhere. I take it on the trail with me for a 5 month long trip or a day hike. I take it with me anytime I ride my motorcycle just in case it starts to rain. I keep it with me when I fish, anytime I go to a concert, anytime I go spend the day in DC.

        When your jacket rolls up to the size of your fist why not keep it with you all the time just in case? When you need it you'll be happy to have it.

          I use the Helium II for pretty much everything that requires a waterproof layer. I like how lite it is, how durable it is, and how packable it is. It takes no space at all in my pack, and when it's on, i don't notice any restriction. For any approach in the winter, or summer alpine...it's perfect. For any long mixed routes i do, that are wet...it's perfect. And even as a casual piece, for every-day use...i'll throw it on. It fits, it's functional, it's what i use.

            This is a MUST HAVE piece for any Spring/Fall and warmer winter excursions!! I have used this piece on 20,000+ft alpine climbs in Pakistan to windy cragging days in the desert. The Helium packs into its own pocket, weighs nothing, and even has a harness clip off loops so there are no excuses not to bring this piece with you EVERYWHERE you go! I promise you will not regret this crucial piece of gear!
