Rated5out of5byKevinm78fromDeceptive jacketI bought this jacket for the wrong reason: it was on sale for less than half price. But every Arc'teryx garment I have ever owned has outperformed my expectations so I thought I would take a chance. The timing was right, it's just turning fall and the weather is cooling so I've had a chance to use it. It is deceptive in appearance. The material is thin - it looks like crepe paper. But I've been throwing it around and treating it roughly and it appears brand new. When it gets cold I add a layer underneath and I'm comfy. I wish it was either water or wind proof - then it would have more of a specific purpose. But I'm getting that this jacket performs really well at what it's designed to be: a very light weight, relatively robust jacket that packs small and works well in a layering system. I'm glad I bought it. I think it's going to get a lot of use.
And, as with most Arc'teryx jackets, it fits well and looks great.

Rated2out of5byhikerbiker22fromshort, stout, and not up to standardsThis "softshell" is more like a golf windbreaker with the skeleton logo stamped on the front. Definitely not up to typical Arcteryx standards. It is short and stout compared to other Arcteryx jackets I have. I am 6'5", 215#, and usually wear their large.

Rated5out of5byPNWHappyTrailsfromLightweight Dream for Layering! In NW light rain + wind, this plus a base layer or two makes an ideal combo: hiking, skiing, paddling, snowshoeing... If rain gets heavy, just add W/P hooded rainwear from the pack. It's not heavy. If you work up heat while moving, as I do, this is a great choice. Very happy with my purchase.
