This is a very confortable cushion. Perfect for backpacking. My only complaint is that if it's windy and you stand up, this cushion will fly away. Perhaps a small pocket that you can fill with sand or a few rocks to weight it down would have been nice.

I have used the REI sit pad for years. I have difficulty sitting comfortably for extended periods of time and this cushion has been great. I use it at my kitchen table as well as my car every day. I have used it for extended road trips and short errands. This is a very good value for the money and I highly recommend it.

I bought this pad while rehabilitating tailbone/SI joint/piriformis muscle injury and it has been a life saver for me. I can inflate to any level of support and have taken it everywhere. Easy to deflate and inflate and fits in my purse or briefcase. Gray color does not stand out at all and most people do not even notice I'm sitting on it. I've had it a year and no leaks or tears. Great price.

I keep this sit pad in the top pocket of my pack and use it whenever I rest along the trail. It is especially good at keeping you off the wet ground on rainy days and off the snow on winter days. It cleans off easy and I am able to use it in the foot box of my sleeping bag at camp to add insulation under my feet. This allows me to carry a 3/4 Thermarest without sacrificing comfort and warmth.

As for durability, I have used it to sit on rough rock, dirt, snow and gravel. You name it and I have used it there. It has shown no signs of negative wear. I even use it, deflated, to stand on when I have to change clothes outside of my tent. It just wipes clean and any stains it receives are just signs of serious use and are of no bother.

If any malfunction does arise I rest assured that I can simply return it to REI without any questions asked and they will replace it immediately.

Picked one of these to use as a sit pad and foot insulation for hammock camping. Leaky valve ended the fun, and no repair parts make this great little idea merely an idea...Will by brands that have parts available in the future.

If the valve were repairable it would merit 4 stars minimum.
