Comments about REI Revelcloud Jacket - Men's:
I bought this to replace an aging REI Woodland Fleece jacket. This is lighter, much warmer and exactly what I wanted. It is pricey, so I waited for a sale.

Comments about REI Revelcloud Jacket - Men's:
I bought this jacket on a bit of a whim and I am so glad that I did. It works great as an mid-layer if it's really cold outside. But honestly, I use it as my go-to runaround jacket for a variety of temperatures. Go out when it's sub-freezing with a flannel underneath or use it when it's 60*F out over a tee-shirt just as comfortably.
I found the fit to be 'athletic.' I'm 6'-2", around 200lbs and the Large fits me well. The sleeves go to my wrist bone and the waist stops right at belt level.
I bought the green color and the calmness of the darker green is pretty subdued while the neon zipper lining really makes pops out to give it some flair.
I love that it packs into itself pretty easily and packs down pretty small. It doubles as a decent pillow when needed.
I chose this jacket over the Patagonia down version that everybody-and-their-mother already has and I couldn't be happier.

The first time I saw this jacket, I thought it was so awesome. The color and the fabric. I waited and it was worth it. I love the jacket!
Fits well, washes easily, and keeps to what is advertises. The best purchase I have ever made at REI.

Comments about REI Revelcloud Jacket - Men's:
I had the same jacket about a couple years old, right as everyone was releasing they synthetic down jackets. Preferred it to Patagonia's version (and cheaper). The zipper on the pockets kept snagging on the lining of the pocket and eventually ripped a hole. So I went to REI and they replaced it with a new one. I like the color better (the previous one was a duller gray/green) and it fits perfectly. I also like the internal zip pocket for folding the jacket in on itself. I had lost the baggie the old jacket came with.

Comments about REI Revelcloud Jacket - Men's:
Took out my Primaloft jacket first time this week and all I can say is wow! Wore it on a 6.5 mile walk with just a L/S very thin dri fit type shirt. Did not feel a bit of cold or wind in 39-40 degree windy weather. I was kinda skeptical at first, how could something this light be warm, but it is magic and it really works.
The pack moves around more when on this jacket vs. any type of shirt or shell. Not a biggie but you will need to keep that mind when adjusting straps.
**If you are in the market and don't have tons of cash definitely go with the REI version vs. any of the other brands**

Hiked in 9'- 29' weather and as a outer shell it did a great job keeping me warm and the wind off my chest. Had on thermal and fleece underneath but it was warm after that. Good jacket overall.

Comments about REI Revelcloud Jacket - Men's:
Bought this jacket over the Patagonia Down Sweater and a few others because of the weight and value. I'm so grateful. It is incredibly warm, even on half-mile walks near the lake in Chicago when the wind chill is 5 degrees. And it folds into it's own zipper pack and fits snugly in luggage/a pack. Great for a lightweight backpacking warmth option or business trips to the cold weather cities in winter.
For 50 bucks less than the down sweater, I couldn't be happier. Fits great under my Patagonia rain shell as an insulating layer too

Comments about REI Revelcloud Jacket - Men's:
I originally bought this for an insulation layer for under my Oakley ski jacket but liked it so much that I end up wearing it almost all the time. When it does rain I wear an outer layer because it is not waterproof. I am amazed at how warm this jacket is because it is so light weight. Highly recommend this jacket as an insulation layer or outer layer.

Comments about REI Revelcloud Jacket - Men's:
Great jacket. I am always cold, and being in Norway, I was tired of it. I had bought a soft-shell that I really like, a Marmot and have several fleeces. They just were not warm enough, plus a little bulky. So I got this. For it's weight, it is very warm. It is almost like not wearing a jacket at all, plus it fits perfectly under another jacket as a layer, not bulky and the fabric is like a liner, so it just slides under the outer jacket no problem. For me, it could be a little warmer, but that would mean a little more bulk, so it is good enough. Keep in mind that I went from wearing a base layer thermal or waffle shirt, polar tech 200 fleece vest, fleece jacket, and soft-shell. Now, in the same weather (about -10 to 0 Centigrade) just shirt, this jacket and soft-shell (sometimes sans soft shell) If it drops below -10 I might put on a fleece vest or jacket, and it is still about the same bulk but with twice the cold rating. Oh, and stuff the jacket outside in with the built in pocket (backside) and you have a great pillow. Worth the money.
Of note: previous version was critisized for upper body restriction at arms and shoulders. This has been redesigned and I have no problem moving. I am 6'2 with a 44 inch chest and long freaking arms. A large fits perfect.
Happy trails!
Mike
