        I was preparing for a trip to Worley's Cave in Tennessee and I knew I wanted a temporary brighter light this time around. This would be my third or fourth time in the cave so I knew I wanted a handheld light I could turn on when I wanted to check out a far away or cool spot in the cave. My headlamp can only do so much but the light output of the Maglite is amazing for the price. Worley's cave has huge caverns and the Maglite did a great job of lighting them up. It did better than my friend's 90 dollar headlamp.

        I didn't bring it to leave on for long, of course. The beam is strong so battery life is short. There are many expensive flashlights out there which put out a lot less light than this Maglite. It's bright for any situation in the dark. Very very handy light.

                Used this light for 5 minutes. It seemed ok then I dropped it on the ground while holding it at waist level. Damaged one of the pieces inside the case. Whether it could be fixed or not is irrelevent at this point. Something that fragile has no place in my kit. Went to the trashcan.

                  I bought this light to use at work as a mechanic, I get tired of changing bulbs in standard mini mag every time i drop it while lit. The LED version does not come with spare bulb but has not burned out from dropping it on concrete. I now have two of these LED versions, one for work and one for play time.
