Comments about REI Endeavor Convertible Pants - Men's 32" Inseam:
By far the best hiking pants I have owned. They are windproof, shed water easily, and dry quickly. I had to march through a thigh deep stream about a 100 times on one hike and minutes after I walked out they were bone dry (I hadn't converted them to shorts yet). The thigh pockets work great for quick access to my point and shoot camera. They are stretchy and flex with your joints well. The no-sit-zips have come in quite handy a number of times.
A couple gripes, the shorts are pretty short, not even reaching the top of my knee when standing. Sometimes I feel like I'm wearing running shorts when I sit down. Also, the legs are just a bit too narrow for casual wear but it doesn't bother me much and I understand that you don't want bulky pants in the backcountry.
All in all, great pants. Worth the money for sure.
