Bought this boot for a versatile, everyday wear, comfortable addition to my wardrobe. This has now become my everyday boot. So much so that I bought two pairs, one of each color. It fits great with skinny jeans, regular jeans, dresses, skirts, leggings, everything. The key is just pairing it in proportions because it is more of a chunkier boot. But that's what I was aiming for to keep my feet happy. Which they've provided. I can walk all day in these and still be happy and ready to walk more. They do have the lining which is warm and comfortable, so summer may be a night only event in these boots, but I did buy short socks because I love them so much I willing to go all out year round. There are only two real down sides with these boots. The black are not fully black. They are a hybrid of brown and black, still cute though, and if you want full black shoe polish works wonders on these boots. Also, my first pair did rip a stitch in the heal after only a couple months of wear. It wouldn't have affected it immediately, but I'm in it for the long haul. And that's what I love about REI, easy return and I've got a new pair of boots that are perfectly stitched. No issues the second time around. But now I do have two boots to take up the slack of almost everyday wear. Great boot, only gave it 4 stars due to the black coloration issue and stitch issue. Just a note on sizing, other reviews I've seen on the web go as far as saying to order a size down. I ordered my exact size and did not have a problem at all. I wear wool or active socks with these and the fit is perfect.
