    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Rated5out of5byfromGreat RideThis is the first new bike purchase in 30 plus years. I looked at many bikes and brands, this one meets my needs. Wide gear range is nice and brakes are amazing, tires are a good size roll easily with smooth feel. Not as important but on test ride it was easy to drop hands from bar and ride away, since then riding without hands just proves how well the Buzz rides. Good choice for me!

Rated5out of5byfromI love my new bike!I got this bike as a commuter, and put a rack and panniers on it. Even with a load, it handles nicely and is easy and fun to ride. It's a nice in-between bike----more comfortable than my road bike, but not as hefty as my mountain bike. The reflective rims are a nice bonus, helping me feel visible and safe. It's winter here, so I haven't ridden it as much as I will after there's no ice, but I anticipate remaining very happy with it!

Rated4out of5byfromGreat Bike for Around TownWent back and forth between this and the Big Buzz. Ended up with the Buzz as I liked the steel frame for it's durability and thought the ride was a bit smoother. Bought for cruising around town, occasional rides to work and rehabbing knee surgery. Really no complaints other than the saddle and grips which were both uncomfortable and swapped out. With the 20% members coupon I got a great price. Shifters and brakes are both smooth. Wheelset seems durable and the disc brakes are nice. All in all I feel like I got a good deal.

Rated4out of5byfromgreat bikeGot this as a 40th bday gift to replace a used Trek I bought nearly 10ys ago. Man what a difference!!! Should have purchased long long ago... this bike is great for longish weekend rides with the family! I also attached the Yepp toddler carrier and it works great...

Rated5out of5byfromBuzz to TownGreat new bike. I outfitted it with all sorts of REI bought stuff for commuting to work. It is a 13 mile ride each way. ..some urban roads, some cinder trail and some paved trail. Perfect mixed used setup. This is a really smooth riding heavier bike. Very steady performer.

Rated4out of5byfromWon't fit a bike trailer...Will not fit ball hitch found on Chariot and Trek trailers. So if you are hauling kids around, you may want to look elsewhere. On the plus side, REI has a great return policy. As a commuter, it works great on my 18 mi RT ride.

Rated4out of5byfromZippy commuter bikeMy primary bike use is for work commuting, errands, and occasional biking events. I was looking to replace my old Novara with something sturdy enough for city riding year-round that is fun to ride, too. I wanted the lighter, spendier version of this bike, the Big Buzz, but was told that the handlebars could not be raised any higher. So I opted for the Buzz and had a handlebar stem extender installed. I am really enjoying the regular Buzz thus far. It handles well, shifts easily, and is a comfortable ride. I like having disc brakes as well. The installed tires are a little fatter than needed, but I can live with that until they need replacing. With the money I saved, I added an assortment of equally fun gadgets!
