Comments about Keen Summit County II Winter Boots - Men's:
The boot is great for getting around in the snow and ice of Indianapolis especially since it oftens starts the day as a snow drift and ends the day as a mud hole. This boot is a water tamer, either forzen or liquid my feet were dry, warm, and comfortable. when spending a large of amount of time inside the breating of the boot kept my feet from overheating and staying dry. There is a lower cut version of the boot that I like well also.

Comments about Keen Summit County II Winter Boots - Men's:
I've had these boots for about six weeks now and been snowshoeing five times with them. Whether it was no warmer than 15 degrees or up into the mid-thirties, these boots kept my feet warm for many hours.
I have also walked in water up to the lower shin and never had any problems with leakage.
They integrate well with my MSR Axis Lightning snowshoes; becoming one solid unit on my feet.
I found that it's very possible to over-tighten the lower shin/ankle laces and bruise that area, so leave a little looseness there and cinch it up more toward the top.
Even though they are relatively soft and flexible, still plan on a 10 mile break-in period.
The boots run just a bit big, but I often wear two pairs of socks which make the fit just right.

These are great boots. They're so warm that I only wear sock liners with them. They did take a bit to break in, but are great!

Comments about Keen Summit County II Winter Boots - Men's:
If order on the internet, order 2 pairs. Left and right sizes may be different but REI makes returns easy or buy and try at the store.
Also sizes may be a little on the small side --so order 1/2 size larger than you would ordinarily use. If any doubt order the next size up.

Comments about Keen Summit County II Winter Boots - Men's:
As always, Keen fits great and feels great. I work in landscaping with that comes long days out in the wet and cold. These boots are good. The toe box has ample room for your toes to move around and keep warm and if necessary, to throw on a pair warm socks. I wear Acorn socks with these and there is no chance of getting cold toes.
Great product and very comfortable and roomy. One thing though. I normally wear a 12 and with these boots I found that the 11 1/2 fits much better.

Comments about Keen Summit County II Winter Boots - Men's:
These are my favorite boots for winter activities, especially dog walking, that I have had here in MN for 19 years. This will be my third season in them and they are holding up very well. I got these while looking for a winter boots that was comfortable and would slip less on the ice. We have had a lot of ice on the paths for the past few winters and it has gotten very dangerous for me to walk our two dogs. (eight paws out perform two feet).
I have worked some long ski race races in sub 0º where I was standing around for hours in these boots and my my feet never got cold.
I will be wearing these boots on our Northern MN dog sledding adventure this year.

Comments about Keen Summit County II Winter Boots - Men's:
I went camping on the Minnesota/Canadian border last february (temps in the lower 30s and down to single didgits in the eveing/night) and these boots kept me warm! They kept most of the water out as I did have some leakage around where the sole meets the outer layer at the toe box. Im sure that a waterproofing treatment will clear that up.
These boots kept my feet VERY warm (almost too warm) while hiking around, and even when I was standing still while cooking I didnt notice the cold temps.
They also had a LOT of room in the toe box, which I like, because then I can wear my thicker socks without my toes being cramed together. I have flat and wide feet so I like a little bit more room in the toe area. Even with the extra room in the toe box I didnt feel like my feet were slipping around, but felt they were held firmly in place.
They did take a little bit to break in, but that was expected due to their large size. And even considering their size this boot was light! I didnt feel weighted down while hiking at all.
Overall I would definitely recomend these boots.
