    The REI Member Dividend

The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.

Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.

Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

Rated4out of5byfromsnugI got a large but they fit pretty snug and my hands are not large by any means, but that's my only complaint. They will work well for manipulating objects in the cold then tucking my hands into my heavier gloves. I have reynauds so I have an assortment of gloves and mitts, these will be fairly warm.

Rated5out of5byfromHelp it is -14. I need warm hands!Wore them under insulated gloves while walking eight leashed dogs. Kept my hands warm.

Rated5out of5byfromThey do the jobI bought two of this, one for myself and one for hubby, he loves it. I'm more hard to please but I love them too. While all other ladies were looking for nice looking gloves, I was reading the "material" tags of each, this are wool so I was sold (I was at -18C). Hubby wears his alone; I wear mine under my weather proof mittens (-18C is no joke) and even when i remove my geese-feather mittens, this wool gloves kept my fingers warm, I also like I could browse my phone without having to remove them. Hubby uses a cellphone from the '90s, he has no use for the touchscreen function of the gloves :)

Rated5out of5byfromDon't leave home without these!Friends. I have been using Smartwool liner gloves for at least 8 years now, ever since I attended a Winter Mountaineering class in the ADKs. Among other things, that class stressed the importance of having liners and never, never, never taking them off and exposing your bare hands to the cold (it was below zero F during the day that weekend, but (in my experience) this advice applies whenever it is below 20° F). They did NOT endorse any particular glove but I have tried a wide variety of different ones and have ended up using nothing but the Smartwool liners. I wear mine underneath fleece mittens which I wear inside Outdoor Research or Black Diamond mitten shells. Under these conditions they work very well. I seldom use them as my only layer. Yes, they tend to be fragile if you are wearing them as your outermost layer. But as a liner glove they help keep your hands dry and warm. Given their material (loosely woven wool) they do wear out much faster than my fleece mittens (which wear out almost never) and the outer mittens (which despite heavy use also almost never wear out). However, I own 2-3 pairs at all times and only replace these once every 3-4 years.

Rated4out of5byfromreally nice tech glovesi bought a size small, so i could get a nice tight fit. BUT, it also means this glove will be more prone to wear. the Carbon-Fiber etip is great - much better than to other metal tips on other gloves.

Rated4out of5byfromGood linersI work outside all winter and needed a pair of liner gloves that will stay warm if they get wet. These do the trick by not adding bulk and allowing me to wear a pair of nitrile exam gloves over them. As an added bonus, I can use my smartphone while wearing both layers of gloves. They won't keep your hands warm at all temps, but they are a great base layer.

Rated4out of5byfromGood for jogging, don't touch anything!I'm fairly new to cold-weather running but I'm liking these gloves. They don't block wind very well but they DO hold in warmth and they're excellent at wicking sweat and staying dry during my run. Below 28 degrees or so they'll definitely need to be replaced with something a little heavier with additional wind resistance. They are VERY fragile, however. Stay away from velcro especially and don't plan on using them for any other purpose. They're made well, make no mistake, the material itself is just extremely susceptible to fraying and fuzzing. Overall a good glove that's perhaps priced a tad high for their expected lifespan, but does what they're supposed to do in the meantime.

Rated4out of5byfromGood - but fragilewarm enough alone for spring/fall - purchased primarily for around the campsite morning and evening, dog walking, and perhaps in the tent on cold nights! Expect to use as a glove liner when it gets really cold. The touchscreen feature is nice and mostly works. A bigger patch of it on the thumb would be helpful. WARNING - keep away from velcro - especially on jacket pockets. It will snag and pull the wool very easily.
