Comments about Vibram FiveFingers KSO Trek Multisport Shoes - Women's - 2011 Overstock:

I was hesitant about purchasing Vibrams and did not want to pay over 100 dollars to find out they were not what I wanted. So I found these at half price on the REI outlet. I LOVE these shoes. I wear them whenever I can because they are so comfortable. I have walked, jogged, and hiked in them. I also wear them when I'm out shopping. I will definitely be purchasing Vibrams in the future.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers KSO Trek Multisport Shoes - Women's - 2011 Overstock:

Love these shoes. I would recommend sizing down if you are unsure. Mine fit perfectly when I got them and then stretched a bit (I wish I had gotten a size down but I haven't had any problems). These shoes have great traction. I have ditched my older five fingers that are made for running. These Treks have a thicker sole so they are more comfortable on your feet when you hit a rock, etc. I never want to take these off!

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers KSO Trek Multisport Shoes - Women's - 2011 Overstock:

I love putting these shoes on, even though it takes about 30 seconds longer than regular tennis shoes, because it feels so good to walk in them. I walk around Lake Merritt (3 miles) several times a week, and when I walk in these it feels like I get a bigger workout - my feet muscles and ALL my leg muscles get to stretch out & work. I walk on teh grass as much as possible because that feels best, but these soles are solid & cushioned enough that I can walk on the sidewalk, too, with no discomfort. I had the lighter Vibram toe-shoes before & loved them, but my feet got cold & wet in the winter & I didn't like them on pavement, and when I wore them for a riverwalk recently I realized they had very little traction. These shoes are a revelation: with the wool knee-length toe-socks (yes!), my feet stay warm & dry all winter long. Presto - more exercise & a happier camper!

After getting no help from a podiatrist to solve foot pain, I tried these shoes and now wear them daily for pain-free walking, hiking, and jogging. As advertised, take a little time to get used to them. Break yourself in gradually to get used to using different muscles.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers KSO Trek Multisport Shoes - Women's - 2011 Overstock:

This is my fifth pair of Vibram Five Fingers. I bought these to repleace my Treksports after I tore the toe off in crossfit. I love trail running in my KSOs, but the tread on the Treks (and the Treksports) is so much better for the rocky trails that I run.

I like that the leather is more durable and much more comfortable than the synthetic fabrics used on my other VFFs. These don't provide as much ground feel as my KSOs, Sprints, or Classics, but again, they are perfect for the shale covered trails I run. And they are very comportable in colder weather without socks. I can't wait to try them next summer to see how the leather breathes when its more warm.

These shoes are also very comfortable on asphalt and concrete, but I think that wearing them on these surfaces wears the tread out too fast.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers KSO Trek Multisport Shoes - Women's - 2011 Overstock:

I have used these shoes as a trail guide in Colorado all summer. I bought them in November, and they've been my daily shoe since then, Colorado winters and all. I've had regular KSOs and I love them, but they've got nothing on these Treks.

These tend to stink less than my regular KSOs. Also, they are much warmer than my KSOs in the winter and also cooler in the summer. They don't dry as quickly, but the leather is significantly more durable. My KSOs have tended to tear on the side of the big toe. These shoes have lasted much longer than I could've hoped, and I'm here buying two more pairs (because I get the feeling they're going to discontinue this model for women). The only reason I'm buying them is because the tread is finally wearing down. I think these two pairs should last me for the next year, at least. I hope they don't discontinue them.

I love my "monkey feet' as we all call them! This is my second pair. Unfortunately, the pair I recieved in June had a flaw in the stitching of the pinky toe on the right foot which left a raw sore spot on my toe after about 3 miles. Returned them the day of that hike and got a brand new pair a few days later! LOVE them!

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers KSO Trek Multisport Shoes - Women's - 2011 Overstock:

I used these shoes hiking in the Smokies. I'll start with a warning: work up to wearing these shoes. I did a five mile trail in them three days after getting them and oh my goodness did I hurt. My legs and ankles were sore for four days. Like, limp to the bathroom sore. Take it slow.

Practically, these shoes rock. The sole is thick enough to be comfortable on pavement and to offer some protection from roots and rocks, but thin enough to allow you to get a solid feel for the trail under you. They also allow for a ton of traction. I had no trouble powering up a muddy slope. The toe pads come up further than on other Five Fingers, but they're still minimalist protection. I dislocated my pinky toe after several good whacks on rocks and roots (although it did take quite a few whacks to do it). The leather upper is super soft and didn't get hot at all despite the 90 degree temperatures and humidity, but made for great protection from sticks and such. They're vented with some sort of synthetic material in exactly the right places to allow for comfortable movement and air flow.

Normally I've very timid around slippery slopes and the like. I never seem to be able to get my balance. These shoes solved that problem. I could always get a solid grip on the ground/boulder/etc and the tread stuck to just about everything. I didn't have to worry about the shape of a sole or rely on my shoes to do the work for me. I could finally trust my feet and legs to know what they were doing.

The cut on these shoes is different from other Vibrams I've tried. The toes on my Sprints stop short of meeting my foot, and are a little long, while these toes fit perfectly. Not complaining, just something to note.

They seem like they're going to hold up really well. They got drenched, covered in mud, poked with sticks, and generally abused this trip. Once I got home, I threw them in the washing machine then left them by the dehumidifier to dry. (Do not dry these in sun or heat; they will shrink.) The sticker on the inside took a beating, but the shoe structure is like new.

Overall, these are great hiking shoes. They're a conversation starter on the trail. After wearing these, you'll be hard-pressed to get me in a boot again.

Comments about Vibram FiveFingers KSO Trek Multisport Shoes - Women's - 2011 Overstock:

I bought two types of vibrams, one black w/leather, one purple and grey, one yellow and grey. My niece has the purple ones and she likes to wear them on the beach when she runs her dog. My daughter had the yellow ones, but her toe profile slants too quickly and her little toe didn't even make it to the toe slot so she gave them to me. I wear those most. At work, working in the yard and taking care of the chickens. I love them for driving across state. My feet don't swell at all. I have high arches and have no issues with the shoes. They aren't well cushioned, but that isn't a big deal for my uses. It is almost like being bare foot and I love that. I have some trouble getting the right one on, but the left one usually goes in more easily. I put a cord through the back loop so I can pull it from under my heel. The trick seems to be getting the top far enough up the top of your foot to give slack at the back. I'm on-line now to get a blue pair. Oh, and I broke my little toe awhile back and these were the most comfortable things I could wear. I get a lot of questions from strangers wanting to know how they feel.
