Comments about Goal Zero Guide 10 Plus Adventure Kit with Solo Flashlight:

Used it on a backpacking trip and when in full sun, my phone charged up in two hours flat while it was playing music. When the clouds started to block out some of the sun my phone wouldn't charge directly, but the battery pack charged up just fine and I then used that to charge my phone. The only complaint I have about this product is that it didn't come with the Solo flashlight like the product description said it would. Other than that, it is a great buy

So far it has worked very well. The Nomad 7 charges the Guide 10 in just acouple of hours and can charge all of my devices in about the same time. The only complaint I have so far is that the panels scratch easily.

Comments about Goal Zero Guide 10 Plus Adventure Kit with Solo Flashlight:

I wanted a solar charger that would work from the car, the backpack, campground, or just in case. This has suited all the needs I have wanted so far.

The skies are usually clear where I'm at, and leave this on my dash or my seat in the morning. The battery pack has come in very handy for my phone when I'm using it as a mobile hotspot or geocaching, and doesn't require me to remember to charge the batteries. It's fire and forget.

I also wanted something that could charge my phone or gps in case of power outage or hiking/camping, and so far, this has worked as well as I could expect.

Comments about Goal Zero Guide 10 Plus Adventure Kit with Solo Flashlight:

This is a great little solar charger to have around. This pack is the same price as the one with just the solar panel and battery pack but with this one you get a solar charged flashlight. The flashlight is no the best but hey you get it for free so why complain.

I noticed on earlier reviews they mentioned wanting the charger to be in the pouch so you can keep everything in there and not get cords tangles and caught on things. Well I must have gotten a new version because that is exactly what I have on my charger (I will attach pictures)

The charging power is decent, I mean it is no wall outlet but it gets the job done. the biggest thing is getting it in the right position.

The battery pack is nice to have around, you can charge batteries for your electronics or you can just charge your electronics from the pack. this is a great product ad I highly recommend it.

Comments about Goal Zero Guide 10 Plus Adventure Kit with Solo Flashlight:

At home, under full summer sunlight, it did charge the provided batteries well. Even the usb cable does the trick, but the biggest problem is the lack of instructions of any kind.
On the field, while trekking in Nepal, I was able to recharge my Nook Color tablet a bit, but had no luck with my camera batteries - canon LP-E6 (actually somehow did discharge them a bit). So, for me it's a FAIL. Will have to look at other brands, but if you want to charge your phone, I think you will be ok. However there are better products just for that. I need a reliable battery charger, and this is not the one. The flashlight is very usefull, and charges very well. Not a powerfull light, but for inside the tent, and around the camp. Why they don't supply any user instructions puzzles me - nor even the website provides any help.

I use this to charge an iPhone and an iPod. I use the solar panel to charge up the included battery pack and charge items from the battery pack. Haven't tried directly charging anything yet. I can fully recharge the iPhone and partially charge a Mophie Juice Pack from one day's charge. It works great when camping though I can see where the unused charging ports could get debris in them.

We took the Goal Zero Elk hunting and camped at 11,500 ft in Colorado. We needed cell phone contact with our outfitters. The Goal Zero worked great to charge our iPhones via the battery pack, and in full sun directly charged the iPhones. We had some trouble with our iPhones indicating it was not compatible, but did not stop the system from charging the phoness.

I have used this product for a little less than a week in bright desert sun. I have been using it to charge my cell phone while I camp for the week. It hasn't once charged fully even though I leave it out in full sun for almost 10 hours. I make sure to clean the panels everyday, because they do get dusty, but they still don't charge the battery pack fully, which means that the pack doesn't fully charge my cell phone.

After only one week in the desert the zippers are already having trouble closing and I think they are going to break one of these days.

I bet if you were a forest camper, you wouldn't be having these issues, but this product doesn't work so great in the desert where I like to camp.
