These pants are flattering and nice looking. I like that these pants have a regular rise and are not low rise. It's also nice to have the option of a regular length pant or a capri, as it cuts down on packing for travel. They are also lightweight and fast drying!

Re. REI Northway Pants in gray. These pants seem fabulous, very comfortable, not bulky at all, and with plenty of good pockets. They were a little costly and they have not yet undergone their acid-test yet, a 12-day summer hike on the Pacific Crest Trail, which is why they were purchased. They look good enough to take to Europe though and are comfy enough for home. Nice to have a great pair of pants in a color other than black. Will report back if they fail on the PCT. For now, we're giving them five stars.

It's so nice to find a pant like this that has a reasonable waist level. The pockets are great and the little bit of stretch is divine. It's perfect for travel, but the black ones can even dress up for a night out on the town.

Yeah!! REI realizes that not all women want pants that sit waaaay below the waist. This one is reasonable, though could even be a bit higher. I really like the hidden security pocket. The adjustable ties at the waist take some getting used to and that design could be improved.
I hope you'll make these in another fabric. I'd buy 'em!!

I bought these in black for an upcoming trip to Europe. My mom made me try them on and I'm glad she did-- they look aweful on the hanger, but really cute on! The adjustable length is great and looks even better if the hem is flipped up & the strings are tied into bows on the capri length. I'm only 5'2" and usually wear pant size 6-8; on these the 6 fits nicely. The waistband doesn't gap in the back and the leg is neither too narrow nor too wide. I'm very excited to have found comfortable, convertible pants that can be dressed up or down so easily!
