After trying to break in two other pairs of boots(different brands) for my Rainier trip, I went with the Scarpa. The Scarpa Manta has been my go-to boot for Sierra climbs for 2 years, and when these Mont Blancs slipped onto my feet I knew it was the right choice. Very little break-in time, great support, warmth without weight, and cozy, dry feet after 18 hours in the snow; happy toes! These boots are sturdy and well made, and I plan winter climbs in them for the next few years, at least.
