Comments about Chariot Carriers Cougar 1 Stroller / Trailer Chassis - 2012:
Just bought the Cougar 1 yesterday and couldn't be happier so far! I'm using it primarily as a bike trailer and in my brief experience it is awesome. I thought about the Burley Bee, but when I put my son (14 months) in it, he slouched down in the "hammock" seat and was basically being held up by the crotch strap part of the harness, which doesn't seem comfortable... So we were upsold to the Cougar, almost twice the price but it seems like a better design with better construction. The seat is pretty cushy and supports him better so he isn't slouching. The padded harness is comfy and easy to put on without loosening (unclip one shoulder strap like they show in the REI video) and the helmet pocket is in perfect position, even for a little guy (doesn't push his helmet up in the back). The first ride around the neighborhood, he was a little quiet. When we got home and I took him out, he asked to go back in right away so we took another spin, with him yelling "Papapapapapa". I considered the Cougar 2 (may need that second spot in a few years), but the Cougar 1 has a narrower wheelbase, so I thought it would be easier to keep it on the bike path, etc.
