The glove actually works well with my iPhone. I use these mostly at night walking my dogs. I have been in pretty cold weather and feel pretty protected from the wind, however, these gloves are not for really cold weather. They are rated only as warm.

I have run with these gloves on my usual 4-8 mile distances in temperatures ranging from the 20's to 50's and they have provided ample protection from the elements while still allowing me to utilize the touch screen of my iphone to access music and fitness app features. Wonderful pair of gloves, just enough fabric to add warmth without adding too much bulk. Highly recommend!!!!

I recieved these as a gift, at first I thought they would be great. I understood the no grip on the gloves to make it easier to pull them in and out of gloves. and the tips worked fantastic with my droid.
However, with one day of low to moderate use while hiking ( not bouldering or even hiking through trees) The tips ripped and are falling apart.

After trying several brands that advertised compatability with touchscreen devices, including OR and The North Face, these were the clear winners.

I used these on a four day ski trip and was very happy with their performance. The make great liners inside mittens (it was 10 degrees out) and on the lift, I just slipped off the mittens and went to work on my phone. It wasn't like using bare hands, but I was able to operate my iPhone easily and bang out text and e-mails pretty quickly.

They held up well and still look good despite 4 days of constant use.

Very happy with the purchase.

The gloves are great, in theory. Good for use when it's cold outside and you need access to your smart phone. However, snag the index finger or thumb on Velcro, and you'll see why I didn't rate these gloves higher than 3. The Touch Tip material has pulled away from the base and will take some clipping and use of a lighter to keep it from pulling again. I bought XL size because I have huge hands...should have went with a Large.

I have owned a pair of these gloves for about 2 years now (no tech tips) and I love them. I don't like a lot of bulk when I run or cycle, but I like to keep warm. I purchased these gloves because to provide some protection to my hands in the early morning when the temperature is about 34+ degrees. They work great! I put them on before I head out of the door, am able to dig out keys, lock doors, set my phone to record my run, etc. I have even used these under my cycling gloves to give me extra protection.

I know many reviews of similar gloves are not very positive but they are great if you use them for their intended purpose: outdoor, cold-weather running. They will not keep your hands warm if you plan on going to some event which requires sitting on your butt.

The little circles on the palm are NOT grippy at all, they're slick stickers which make it hard to even grip a door knob. Also poor execution on design. The fingertips have about a half inch of seems at the top of the finger, even more on the index and thumb which takes away from dexterity. I returned them.
