Comments about PackTowl Original Towel:
I got this towel for a hiking trip. On the plus side, it absorbs a lot of water. On the down side, it doesn't seem to want to let go of that water. I ended up carrying around a slightly damp towel for the entire trip. Hanging it up on a line in the sun for an entire day didn't do anything. Also, the texture is kind of weird- it doesn't feel like a towel so much as a cloth you might use to polish something rough. Although after a few days on the trail that's not too far off...

Comments about PackTowl Original Towel:
For all the travel/ultra absorbent towels out there I have yet to find one that's washcloth sized. This product had the smallest dimensions of any towel I've seen thus far so decided to pick one up. It's about twice the size of a standard washcloth, but, as if by good fortune, the material is the felt-type that you can actually cut without a fraying type of problem. So I cut this in half and kept the part with the hanging loop to use as a washcloth and use the other half for when I'm doing something outdoors and need a nice, absorbent item to wipe my face with now and then. As such it's fulfilling my need more than I anticipated it would.
Drying time: Since I'm mostly a car camping person I use a hanging clothes dryer with some metal clips on it vs. hanging it from the loop most of the time so it gets the maximum amount of air to dry in the least amount of time. It takes about 4 hrs. for it to completely dry this way, longer if hanging it from the loop since the material will fold on itself this way. It will still dry in a reasonable amount of time, but if you can spread this out to its fullest length it dries so much more quickly.

Comments about PackTowl Original Towel:
I bought this to take with me hiking, but end up taking it everywhere. It's a very versatile towel. It's lightweight and thin which makes it great for fitting into my pack. It's very absorbent as well. I find myself using it as a kitchen towel at times, then I just was it. Due to it's thin nature, it dries rather quickly.

Comments about PackTowl Original Towel:
The size Large is just big enough to wrap around the body completely, providing privacy in public showers and locker rooms. This towel seems more absorbant than others on the market; it's much softer on the skin and is very pleasant to use. It washes and dries well and I haven't had any problems with pilling yet. I like that it can go in the dryer if need be. One minor grumble: the size L is advertised to be 1.8 oz, but on my postal scale it weighs 5 oz. That's a big difference when you're trekking and every ounce counts! But for its size it's still an acceptable weight. A good value.
