I used this on a week long vaca traveling/camping and found it so useful! It had secure pockets for everything from my keys to my SLR camera. It holds a plentiful reservoir as well. I am looking forward to also using this for bike rides around town.

I recieved this as a gift from my husband for hiking. He has a large camelbak and thought he would get me a small one just for my own water and my camera. Since I'm pettie he went for this size. First off the design sucks. Once I had the bag tight enough that it wasn't flopping around it was digging into my chest because the "s" curve was too much. The chest strap was also a problem as it was almost at my chin.

The size seemed perfect at first but once the bladder was filled it stuck into the storage area and reduced the storage so it became virtually useless for anything other than a jacket.

Overall the idea was nice but needed to be exicuted better. Just adding an inch to the dept might have swayed me to keep it as it would have allowed it to sit on my back better and give me the storage I needed. I ended up exchanging this for the aventura.

I bought this hydration pack to use during day hikes on a recent trip to Utah. We were planning on doing several hikes that would take 4 to 5 hours round trip and I knew I was going to need plenty of water to stay hydrated in the heat. I tried on all the various brands and styles of hydration packs at REI that offered 3L/100oz capacity. I ended up choosing the CamelBak L.U.X.E. because it felt the most comfortable for my short frame largely because it is designed as a women's pack. It is shorter in the torso length so it actually fits on my back where as some of the other packs were sitting past my waistline which I figured might be uncomfortable and rub on long hikes. The padding on the back is really comfortable as well as the straps. The straps also have several ways to adjust them to get a great custom fit. This a wonderful minimal hydration pack but also has great spots for added gear when you need it. It has smaller pockets for keys, phone, wallet, a section that expands to fit a bike helmet (I used to store my shed layer) and another tall section which I used to our put our guide book, my camera, sunscreen and my lunch. The new Antidote reservoir is also great because you can easily disconnect it from the drinking tube for easy filling. I am so happy with my purchase and highly recommend this product!

My first Camelbak was a small one, a gift. I loved the concept, but did not like the lack of storage. This one is designed for bicyclists and carries a lot of stuff. I love it!
