by fromNot a "Stuff" Sack Mesh is NOT durable and limits its usefulness. The 2nd time I tried to "stuff" my backpacking float tube into the 9L S2S mesh "stuff" sack recommended by the tube mfg, the top ripped off within the mesh. It's in my REI "return pile" from a recent trip.

by fromKeeps things in one spot If these aren't the lightest bags out there then they have to be close to it. Many uses..replace all your items that come with a heavier bag, make your own kits of gear and keep it together, stuff your spare clothes and use as a pillow at night, so so much. Bit expensive but well worth it.

by fromAlmost weightless I bought one of these sacks to hold my cookware and a 230g fuel canister. I wanted a way to keep everything together without adding too much weight. Everything except the fuel canister (and a titanium spork) fits inside my cookset: with this sack, I can keep it all together without feeling like I've added any respectable weight to my pack. As another reviewer stated, just make sure you keep it away from sharp or pointed objects!

by fromNice Sack The extra small (4.0L) works great to hold my cook kit. The mesh works great to allow any moisture to evaporate and to identify the contents very easily. It was a bit to tall, so I just tied the bottom of the sack in a knot and it cinches everything tightly together. Overall quality seems to be high, however, time will tell as it has only been in my pack on one trip. The mesh seems to be more resilient than I thought it would be. It seems to be similar to a bug net type of weave and may be decent at straining water. It shows no signs of wear even where stretched over the right angles of my imusa pot handle, though, I do not think it would hold up very well against sharp objects. The nylon on the top is double stitched with adequate stitching. It is, after all, just a small mesh sack, not a compression sack. The cord lock is very small, but is holds the bag shut just fine. The sack is extremely light weight and ideal for light duty use. I think this sack is worth the $11 I paid for it, I hope it continues working this well for years to come.

by fromContainment without the weight If you're looking for a way to contain non-sharp items without gaining any weight, then this is the mesh bag you want. Appears to be the same screening material used in many ultralight weight tents, reinforced seams and a SilNylon drawstring collar...this is a well made ultralight weight mesh bag. i.e. - Toss it in the air and watch it FLOAT down. Has passed all my tests so far. Obviously avoid putting sharp edged items in it and avoid the hook side of hook & loop closures.

by fromOrganize and recycle. Great for organizing items (especially items that do not requiring any sealing that a plastic, sealing baggie would do). Used as a stuff sack for a pillow. And if you don't mind a bag over your head (the larger ones) would make for a great mosquito netting! So many uses!!
