        Comments about MSR Cyclone Tent Stakes - 4 Pack:

        These worked great in the sand. I camped at Assateague Island and used these to anchor a 12 x 12 tarp in the sand. My last trip my Y stakes would not hold the tarp poles unless I used 2 lines at a 45 degree angle to support each pole. This time I only needed 1 stake to support each pole and they held my tarp in place despite the usual windy conditions at Assateague. Sand anchors work just as well but if you want to move your tarp around it would be take a lot more work to dig them out and bury them again. With these you can move your tarp or whatever you are anchoring with ease.
