Small, light and bright, the compact Petzl Zipka® Plus 2 headlamp features the Zip retractable cord system, allowing the headlamp to be worn on your head or wrist, or attached to a tent pole.

Single high-output LED provides even, white lighting throughout your field of vision with no blank spots in the beam; special lens optimizes the reach of the beam to 40m
Red LED positioned to the side of the white LED lets you preserve your night vision or use the headlamp as a blinking light to increase your visibility in urban environments
Push-button switch easily changes between 3 white lighting modes (high, low and flashing) so you can choose the appropriate light level for the task at hand
Also change between 2 red lighting modes (continuous and blinking)
White light on low level provides up to 155 hrs. of use and on high up to 70 hrs.
Hold down the on/off switch to change between red and white lighting modes

Comments about Petzl Zipka Plus 2 Headlamp:

I needed a compact headlamp that I could permanently keep in my fishing bag. I love to fish til dark and often found myself struggling to tie on flies at dusk. This lamp is compact, the retractable chord works great (so far), and the red light function is perfect for what I do. I use the red function to get my flies tied on and get right back to fishing without compromising my night vision. The white beam is also pretty darn bright for walking down dark trails.

Bottom line: It's a little spendy for a headlamp, but is perfect for my needs.

Comments about Petzl Zipka Plus 2 Headlamp:

I got this for my husband at Christmas because he works the night shift on our truck, we are over the road truck drivers. This is very light weight and I thought the "cable" would be tight, but it was really quite comfortable. He has used this in a couple of blizzards this year so far and it has worked great! We like the adjustability of the cable as it can go over any of our hats. Also, it stores so small that it's hard to find in the glove box. There is nothing we can not like about this light, as a matter of fact I plan on ordering 2 more. I also purchased the recharger, but haven't had to use it yet as the batteries have not run down yet.
