Comments about Kelty Acadia 4 Tent:
Used this tent last weekend. We had flooding rain the first night and the tent never leaked. We loved the vestibule because it gave us a area to keep our shoes and wet stuff. This is a very breezy tent which makes it a little better for warmer nights, we found ourselves needing more blankets as the temps dipped. We did have some condensation the second night. Overall we were happy with our new tent.

Comments about Kelty Acadia 4 Tent:
We wanted a spacious car camping tent, and chose this for it's price. After 2 trips we are very happy with it, and find it a great product for the price. We made the mistake of not tethering the upper pole tension points and had a pole break in a sudden storm with major wind gusts. I'm sure if we had used upper guy lines it would have stood up to it. It kept the water out even though some ground run off flowed underneath. Kelty's customer service was awesome. After the USPS lost the returned pole, I called up Kelty and they sent us a new one via 2nd Day delivery...NO CHARGE! We love our roomy tent, and now take time to protect it from high winds. This is my first Kelty tent (after owning several quality backpacking tents), and find this one to be a great affordable addition to our car camping outings.

Comments about Kelty Acadia 4 Tent:
I am a purist when it comes to shelters in the backcountry. When I need a tent, it needs to be waterproof, windproof and stable (both before and after setup). With that, I took this out on a 6 week trip and used it as a base camp for a few of the stops. It was great for the first night. The full mesh felt like you were sleeping right under the stars and the breeze helped to stay cool. BUT, on the second, and third and by the fourth time I set it up, the fiberglass poles started warping and failing (yes, I was even overly careful... it WAS a brand new tent). This was a concern when I first purchased it, but I hadn't experienced fiberglass poles until now. They are the absolute worst pick for tent poles... unless you are only going to set this thing up once in your life. I would suggest to keep looking around, or, if you are attached to the idea of a full mesh tent, just go for the 6man... not the 4. You wouldn't want to pack in either way, might as well add space and metal poles. Enjoy the outside.

Comments about Kelty Acadia 4 Tent:
At this time only set up in basement(been working too much.)It was easy to set up. I really like large doors and vestibules. I have used Kelty tents for alot of years in some very wet weather and have never spent a wet night in one of their tents. Am looking forward to a real test soon.
