Comments about Merrell Moab Mid Waterproof Hiking Boots - Women's:
Had to return my first pair when they leaked. Had the second pair a few months and they are soaking up water like a sponge. Very disappointed.

Comments about Merrell Moab Mid Waterproof Hiking Boots - Women's:
I had bought this product a week before I left on a trip to hike several national parks, and wore them for a few days to break them in. They arch support wasn't great, and they were kind of tight and not very flexible when I was walking. I ended up returning them and opting for the non-waterproof version of the shoe, which was exactly what I wanted.

Comments about Merrell Moab Mid Waterproof Hiking Boots - Women's:
I wear them everyday for work and chores outside. Their appearance is good in the office and about town. They support my rotten feet fairly well, and the orthotic I use work fine in them. The shoelaces tend to release frequently, so I will have to replace them, but that is a small problem easily fixed.

Comments about Merrell Moab Mid Waterproof Hiking Boots - Women's:
I am athletic, but a beginner hiker and I could not have made a better purchase! These boots are very true to size. I bought them a little big as suggested for multiple day hikes. I have a long, but thin foot and I am able to get them snug. They are very light weight, perfect amount of ankle support, and my foot can breathe. Perfect!

Comments about Merrell Moab Mid Waterproof Hiking Boots - Women's:
Im a novice hiker and so far I've only used these once hiking a mountain near big bear. Weather was dry but there were some patches of snow we had to walk across and I felt comfortable with these shoes. The hike was 8 mi. total and my feet felt totally fine after. The shoes breath well but are still water proof. it got hot that day but my feel felt fine. Overall a great shoe.

Comments about Merrell Moab Mid Waterproof Hiking Boots - Women's:
Really like these shoes. Great in snow and mud. I have a dog walking business and was wearing these every day all day for a week or more...not a great idea, and obviously not a great idea to wear any shoe all the time. Started to bother my knees. And not great to drive with. But overall I really like them! Less stiff than the other pair of boots I walk with.

Very comfortable when I started out...but 3 hours into the hike they started hurting around my ankles, especially on downhill trails

Comments about Merrell Moab Mid Waterproof Hiking Boots - Women's:
Overall, GREAT shoe. My only issue is the arch support/shoe insert. Every now and then, the arch feels a little to high and feels very irritating, and I think it's because of the adjustable insert. As soon as I reposition the insert, everything's fine, but if I'm in a situation where I can't take the time to remove the shoe and fiddle with the insert, it's an absolute nightmare. It could also be that my feet are too wide for them (I usually by Mens Merrells). No complaints whatsoever aside from the arches of the inserts.

Comments about Merrell Moab Mid Waterproof Hiking Boots - Women's:
I bought these shoes for my girlfriend because she is on her feet all day. She is an archeologist, and she works all over the South West. Her last pair of shoes lasted about 10 months, and I'm not sure these will hold up. She just returned from a survey in Nevada, and she was a little disappointed in shoe because her socks were soaked after walking through a an inch of mud. The shoe claims to be water proof, and it also claims that it, "Keeps It Fresh." The shoe's AEGIS Microbe Shield is supposed to, "provide protection against odor, staining, and deterioration caused by bacteria, fungus..." but the shoe reeked of mildew. I spent a lot of money on these shoes. I'm a little upset that they couldn't keep a foot dry in an inch of mud.
