Rated4out of5bynix86fromLightweight and great for the gym!I absolutely love these shoes for aerobics classes in a gym. They are so lightweight, you will feel as if you are wearing nothing on your feet at all. I do not, however, like them for running as these are a minimalist shoe. Just as a matter of personal preference, I prefer the Brooks Ghost over this one for running because I like to run with squishy pillows under my feet. Also, these are VERY breathable so I wouldn't recommend them for outdoor activities if there is moisture about. As for the fit, I have VERY narrow feet and I love these shoes because they fit me perfectly in the size I normally wear. This leads me to believe that the average person will find them to be a bit tight so you may have to go up a half to a full size if you have average to wide feet.

Rated3out of5byYogi on the RunfromNice ShoeI was looking for a lightweight shoe to take the place of my Nike Free Run. I run long distances in Newtons, but shorter, sprint training runs in a lighter shoe. The NB is lightweight and breathable, but tight across the toes. At first I thought it was because my Nike Free Run and Newtons have a wide toe box and I would get use to the NB. I have fairly narrow feet, yet I haven't quiet gotten use to how tight these are. I went back to a Free Run and only wear these for recreational use now.

Rated5out of5byHikerCindyfromGreat Lightweight Road-RunnersI bought these Brooks Road-Runners initially because my weightlifting trainer said I needed flat-soled shoes so she could tell if my heal was on the ground when I was doing heavy lifting. These have since become my favorite everyday shoes. They are extremely comfortable, and light weight. They let my feet breath. I wear them to walk my dog (several miles on paved streets) as well as to the gym, grocery store, and just around the house. Love these shoes!

Rated4out of5byMorning AngelfromRun right and you will likeIt was exactly what i was looking for. I run barefoot and needed some cush. It has minimal foot restriction and i have been able to keep the same running form i used prevously. I do not find them comfortable to walk in-the heel striking first, due to the angle of the footbed.

Rated3out of5byDuckFeetRunnerfromNice-looking shoe, but not for meI have been running in FiveFingers for awhile now as it comes much more naturally to me than running in heeled sneakers (I'm a former dancer - I still walk around the house on the balls of my feet). I ended up injuring my knee which made running in the VFF's almost impossible, and I was truly hoping these Brooks would provide the relief I sought while still giving me the feeling of "minimalist" running. Long story short, they did not.
- Good looks
- Wear out quickly (Not my experience, but I found it in many online reviews prior to buying them, and it influenced my decision to return them after discovering how unstable they were)
I bought the Brooks only when REI staff assured me that I could return them if I didn't like running in them. They felt extremely unstable, to the point where I thought I was going to sprain an ankle running on level pavement. After decades of dance/hiking/etc., that should not be an issue, but I was going ALL over the place in these shoes. It was awful. I wonder if my experience would have been different had I moved from normal running shoes to the Brooks instead of from VFF's, but the Vibrams definitely have me planted in all the right places.

Rated5out of5byGirl Scout JillfromOut of the Box Comfort!I am a beginner runner and to be honest have no idea what kind of shoe I need. I saw great reviews on this one and went with it. Straight out of the box comfortable. Super light compared to what I ever wore before and I just want to wear them all the time.
I run/walk around 20 miles a week on a treadmill, so beyond errands after a workout I haven't used them on the road. I think they will be fine though. I also love that they just "look" good. They don't make my feet feel like they look fat and frumpy like some athletic shoes do. It's a cute athletic shoe.

Rated5out of5byShelbyCarolinefromI am in love.I have been searching high and low for running shoes with a great arch support. I had been fairly loyal to nike, but support wise they were not giving me what I needed. I am so glad I decided to look at brooks, I have no complaints with these, they have been wonderful and feel amazing. The arch support is very high. These have changed my run completely.
