I usually run in racing flats or Newtons, but I thought I'd give Brooks a try. These are great! They fit like a glove right out of the box. My toes aren't cramped at all, even after a long run. The uppers are kind of mesh-like so they breathe nicely, but my feet didn't get wet when I ran in the snow. They also provided great traction for the snowy run. These shoes look good too, I might buy another pair just to have one hand when my current pair wears out.

I've always loved Brooks running shoes. I've run many miles on them, but these shoes are by far the coolest, comfiest, fastest shoes I've ever run in. They are great for short sprints and milers. They are beautiful shoes and they go good with almost anything. I can't wait to put some real miles on these babies.

Great shoe, fits true to size, I wear a 10.5. This is one of the only shoes I have not had to "doctor" to get it to be comfortable. Right out of the box this shoe, is comfy and fits perfectly. Plenty of room in the toe box area, my toes do not feel cramped at all. These shoes are comfortable with or without socks. I primarily use them at the gym for crossfit workouts, however they are also great for running, and happen to look great with jeans. I have had quite a few people stop me and ask about these shoes. I am REALLY picky when it comes to shoes and how they fit...pleasantly surprised that I have no major complaints about these. The only thing I can say, due to how lightweight the shoe is, the outer sole on these shoes may wear out faster depending on how you use these. I am loving these for my Crossfit workouts, may have to get a second pair to stash away as a reserve pair!

These are great shoes! I had been wearing asics GT2160's because I thought I needed a stability type running shoe, after 700 miles and a full and a half marathon however I developed left Tib/fib pain and after consulting a specialist was told I had anterior compartment syndrome and needed further testing and possible surgery and to quit running for 2 months! After researching the gruesome surgery I stumbled onto information in several places that talked about how "barefoot" or minimal type running shoes were being used to treat anterior compartment syndrome so I thought I'd give it a shot. I went to REI and tried these and two other more minimal shoes and fell in love with the fit of these Brooks Pure Connect shoes. I wear an 11 AA (narrow) in other shoes but in these they fit just right, so on a person with an 11B (average) they might be too snug. Anyway the shoes are great and the anterior leg pain is gone! However it is time intensive to switch to a minimal drop shoe when you've been running in something with an 11mm drop from heel to toe. Amazingly I used to have low back pain on long runs and that is much improved too. Love these shoes.

This is a fantastic intro to minimalist shoe. I have wanted to get into having less on my feet but have been worried about changing my gate. This shoe encourages ball strike and makes it easy to run like that, but when my muscles get tired I am allowed ot get lazy with a heel strike in these shoes.

I have always been althetic but never understood why anyone would want to run for fun until a few months back. Turns out I really like it(and so do my dogs.) Only drawback is I have been having problems with my knees hurting after several days of running in a row. My boyfried suggested I try a minimalist shoe so I brought the purple PureConnect Road-Running Shoes last week and I am in love! Right out of the box these shoes felt great, I felt like I could run forever and the best part is my knee pain is gone. I think these shoes were just the thing I needed to take my running to the next level. I'm thinking about getting a second pair in the Blue/White that way I can alternate them so they will last longer.

Far and above the best shoe I've had straight out of the box. I have gradually weaned myself down to more minimalist shoes (10 years ago I was wearing heavy Asics Gel Kayanos with prescribed orthotics; most recent pair before these shoes were the mizuno wave inspires), and could not be happier with these. My favorite thing is how the heel is contoured; it seems to encourage more of a roll off your heel (I tend to heel strike after a few miles of my run out of fatigue) and provide a very natural landing. The cushioning is great, too. I described them to my boyfriend as "socially acceptable crocs" because hey- we all know crocs are super comfortable, they just look atrocious. These shoes have the same awesome cushioning and support but look fantastic. The more you wear them, the better they feel, and then on top of that it seems like the sole bounces back rather than wearing down.
The upper is not very structured, so if you pronate or suponate a lot these are probably not the shoe for you until you get that worked out. I don't know how well these would accept an insole based on their construction.
Regarding size: I bought these a 1/2 size larger than what I would normally wear in a running shoe. The 7.5 just seemed a hair too small, but the 8 fits perfectly.
...bottom line, I love these shoes and will probably get the trail runners of the same design.

I bought these shoes a month ago and I love them! After struggling with plantar fasciitis for the last couple of years I've switched to barefoot running shoe styles which are great on trails. Unfortunately the new place I moved to is all pavement running so I was in the hunt for something along the barefoot lines but with a little cushion from the pavement. These shoes are the perfect blend between barefoot and a cushioned shoe and my feet haven't been hurting at all. The only downside is I have them in the white/green which got dirty pretty fast.

Before I purchased these I had two pairs of running shoes: New Balance running shoes, and Vibram 5 fingers.
The New Balance shoes caused IT band syndrome. I threw them away once I purchased my vibrams for training. I loved how strong the vibrams made my foot and calf muscles, so I purchased the Pure Connects as my primary running shoe.
I am not regretting my decision to purchase these. I have owned them for 6 months now :) They are the most comfortable running shoes that I have ever owned. I used to do a lot of foam rolling after running because of the IT band syndrome, but now I no longer have to :).
I just purchased the purple pair, for all the races I am going to take part in this year. I hope Brooks continues to make this amazing shoe.
