The North Face Dolomite 2S Sleeping Bag is rated 4.4545 out of 5 by 11.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sleeping Bag This was my "summer" bag for my thru-hike on the AT last year. I switched to the Dolomite 2S in Hot Springs, NC and used it until Stratton, ME. The bag must be used with a good air mattress (I had a Thermarest NeoAir) or another type of insulation between it and the ground. I had no problems staying warm in temps reaching down into the high 30s a few times. It helped that my Dolomite was the long version that allowed me to close it up like a mummy bag when needed so between that and using clothing I was able to regulate temp very easily. Speaking of size, I am 6'3" and had plenty of room in this bag thanks to its rectangular shape. Another big plus was its ability to open into a blanket. That made it become excellent bedding for those terribly hot nights in July. The bag packed very well and held up to 3.5 months of hard use. I will use it again and when it gives out I will get another one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality product for intermediate camper Let me start out by saying this a quality product for the price. My husband, being a much more experienced camper, suggested I upgrade sleeping bags to better accommodate our back-packing excursions. The Dolomite 2S arrived just in time for our trip to the Sylvania Wilderness on the border of Northern WI and the UP of Michigan. We ended up with ridiculous weather; unseasonably cold and rainy, with overnight temps dipping into the 40s. I was incredibly grateful for the new sleeping bag, but even more appreciative of my Omni-heat winter coat, Smartwool socks and Big Agnes camp mat. I was comfortable enough, but it was definitely still cold. Without my winter clothes and the camp mat to cut the chill, the sleeping bag would not have been enough. It's a great product, so I would definitely recommend it for the intermediate camper in weather above 50 degrees. Also, I'm 5'4", so the "regular right" size provides more than enough room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bag We purchased these bags for our PCH trip on our motocycles so we needed small and compact. We had no problem staying warm with these even though we ran in cold foggy weather. Packed very small which was incredibly important when you are traveling for a month on a motorcycle and have limited space for everything.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for warm weather I used this for a beach camping trip at Assateague Island in August. The exposed campsites (between the dunes and the scrub) get chilly at night throughout the summer. This bag was toasty even partially zipped, and I would feel comfortable using it there in late spring and early fall as well. Temp rating seems accurate. The fabric doesn't feel clammy or sticky at all. The included stuff sack doesn't have compression straps, so I put it in a size small Sea to Summit Evo compression dry bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from All around GREAT buy! I used this during New England summer/fall and did great. Love the roominess since I'm a bigger guy. I personally like having rectangle since I like to have moment near my legs. Still very light and has double zipper for venting the area of the feet. Small pocket inside for watch or headlamp. Packs fairly small as well. Can't beat the price.... Love this bag

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Packs small, sleeps big! I purchased this sleeping bag to replace a mummy-style sleeping bag that also packed small, but was uncomfortable for my sleeping style. I camp by motorcycle several times a year, and wanted a bag that packed small yet was a standard-style with plenty of room, and that also would zip together with another sleeping bag, making two bags into one giant bag. This bag did it all! The price was reasonable considering the choices. Temperatures were down in the 50s overnight, and using the bag unzipped as a top sheet and inflatable pads with a flannel sheet as our base, we slept comfortabley without want for more warmth. I definitely recommend this bag, especially if you are space conscious.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great warm weather bag Purchased this bag for a week long summer camp trip in temps around 100 degrees (mid 50's at night). Performed great! Never got too warm or too cold. I like the roominess of this bag (as opposed to my mummy bags which don't allow much room to move your legs). I'm 6'4" and I purchased the long version of the Dolomite 2S and was very comfortable. It packs fairly small, but may be slightly large for backpacking. I liked it so much, I bought a second one for my son!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great roomy bag Flexible use of bag using liner. Like roomy foot since slept in it for almost 3 weeks straight at Jamboree. Packs fairly small using compression bag. Full 2-way zipper makes it easy to open up flat or just open bottom of bag for circulation.
