The North Face Dolomite 3S Sleeping Bag - Doubleis rated4.4545out of5by11.
Rated4out of5byfromGood for Cold Weather; Ignore the one bad review. When I purchased the bag I read the one negative review and was worried that it might not be warm enough, especially since most people giving positive reviews are likely fair-weather campers sleeping in RVs. I used this last night at about 4400ft in the snowy BC Coastal Mountains. The temperature was -3 degrees C and we were warm all night. I'm assuming that 'car-camper' was either misusing the product (sleeping solo when its meant for 2 people) or was not using proper sleeping pads (We used a standard cheap blue foam pad and our summer Therma-rests). Also, maybe 'car-camper' uses a drafty tent (I was in a good 2-person, 3 season Asolo) or is unfamiliar with proper cold-weather camping techniques and tricks to stay warm. In any event, I would be confident using this bag at -7 C. Might need to wear a wool sweater to bed tho instead of just pjs... One bad thing, the little snap buttons at the opening don't hold very well.

Rated5out of5byfromGreat bag at good priceCamped in wisonsin in 36 and 40 degree nights, in undergarments only, I was fine. My girlfriend wore socks and tshirt/leggings.also fine. Everyone "feels" different in regards to cold. I believe the temperature rating is accurate for a man, add 10-20 degrees for a woman. Some will always find a reason to post something negative about even the best products. Very happy with this bag for 2 people. Packs a little large but what do you expect, it's for 2.

Rated5out of5byfromGreat for car camping or cabiningThe bag was roomy enough for us to have our 6 mo. old son snuggle between us during our trip. Zip outs on both sides allows easy escape when "nature calls".

Rated5out of5byfromPerfect two-person sleeper. My husband and I were both in the market for lighter, small bags (at least lighter and smaller than our old school cotton/flannel bags) that would be useful across multiple camping seasons. If you're already a fan of zipping sleeping bags together with your significant other, the possibility of buying one BIG bag can work out nicely as, in this case, it's cheaper than buying two separate bags of similar quality. I really do love my Dolomite sleeping bag... it beautifully regulates temperature without sweatiness and feels so silky. There is a slightly longer version of this same bag, but I'm over 5'7" and I can comfortably sleep fully stretched out in the regular length version with ample material leftover to pull up and cover my head with.

Rated5out of5byfromSuch a good buy!My husband and I got this sleeping bag, at first we kind of joked around about getting a double bag.. Cause, it is pretty funny. A massive sleeping bag for two grown adults. We love it though, we went out for a night and it got down to about 40 ( it doesn't get super cold here in July) and it stayed nice and cool!

Rated1out of5byfromWill not keep you warmBought this bag for a month long camping trip. First stop was Zion National Park. I knew it would be warm at Zion so packed a silk liner and a REI sleeping bag that is rated at 55 Degrees. At Zion I only needed the silk liner. Next stop was the Tetons. The first night I used this bag the temp dropped to 40 degrees. The bag is rated at 20 degrees. I thought, "No big deal." I froze all night. The next 10 nights I used the silk liner AND the light weight bag. This combo barely worked to keep me warm. Next stop was the North Rim. The night temp was 50 degrees and the combo worked much better. I returned this bag. No way would you be comfortable in this bag at 20 degrees. REI should not sell this bag.

Rated5out of5byfromOUTSTANDING!!!!!Location: Camping by Gunflint Lake by the Canadian Border near the the BWCA. Application: On top of the Kelty Sleep Easy Air Mattress, which was resting on top of 3 ThermaRest Pro-Lite 3. Users: 5'11" 300lb and 5'7" 170lbs Temperature got down to 35 degrees at night. First of all, we bought this without really checking out the reviews. But we were tired of bringing 10 blankets to stay warm on the cold nights, it was killing space. So we bought it 2 days before we left for a 5 night camping trip without bringing our 10 blanket back-up. And we were NOT disappointed! It was outstandingly warm, and for being plus size it was REALLY REALLY roomy inside!!!!!!!!!!! My best friend and I could stay on opposite sides of the sleeping bag and still have a big chunk of space in between us. But the extra space didn't kill our warmth either. Plenty warm wearing regualar clothes and a pair of socks to bed. When the wind howled we were able to cinch down the top and hunker down inside. It is a great bag for the price and would absolutely recommend it without hesitation! Zippers would snag a bit now and then, but what bag doesn't. They were bright green and really easy to see in the dark. Just get it!!
