Comments about Marmot Limelight 4P Tent:

Really nice tent. Very roomy and I think it ventilates well. I am really impressed with the double vestibule and how well it will keep out rain when exiting during a storm. Only complaint and it is not really likely to be an issue is a floor seam. I feel a better design would have been a solid piece of floor fabric, but since I bought the tent at REI I am not worried about the seam leaking. If it ever does back for replacement. I think this is probably been the best tent I have owned.

Comments about Marmot Limelight 4P Tent:

Love this tent, bought one after trying the limelight 3 a few times, use it for base camping/car camping, first weekend held up to a few inches of rain no prob, holds a queen size matress, and still has room, you can change without sitting or lying down. Could use more vents in the fly, near springs and in damp cool weather you will get condesation. I also recommend replacing the guy lines with Reflective Accessory cord. Comes with the ground Tarp a plus as I don't have to spend another $50. This one is really too big to Backpack with unless splitting the load among 3 people. Also 4 People means no Gear inside. If REI has any pull with Marmot if they could put in a reccomendation to extend the groud fly under the vestibules, and to make the vestibules a little bigger, it is difficult to enter and exit the tent while raining, you have to have both the fly and the tent open to get in.

Comments about Marmot Limelight 4P Tent:

I may have a bit of a bias, because this was my first not-bought-at-Walmart-tent. I used it the first time in the Black Hills. It was incredibly easy to set up, with no directions. The poles are color coded, and very sturdy. After I broke the plastic poles on my last two tents in 30MPH gusts, the light metal poles were much appreciated. The fly had plenty of room for gear, and held out the light rain we got pretty well. We did get a slight bit of condensation, but not enough to drip or really be noticeable unless you touch the inside of the fly. The other thing I really appreciated was the space. Usually you always count on a 4p tent being ok for 2-3 people, but this seemed like it would comfortably sleep 4, granted the gear was in the vestibule.

Comments about Marmot Limelight 4P Tent:

I just used this tent for 7 nights of camping. There was a storm one night with very high winds. I had the tent staked out with guylines and the tent held up while others did not, and stayed dry. Good test for the new tent. I like the simplicity of how the tent sets up and simple ways of holding open the fly in each door way by rolling the fabric and putting through a loop; I liked the 'privacy' fabric around the tent with the flys open, although it may prevent a slight amount of ventilation. We had very high temperatures during the week but had no trouble sleeping with a tent fan. Nice footprint was also included. Cons: the tent stakes bend easily, maybe to save on weight. I bent three of them during the week. I purchased a roll of reflecting guyline string instead of using the non-reflecting ones which came with it; also used shorter lines for the two side loops - they needed staking out for better ventilation but no guylines were provided. Also, when setting up the tent, the poles don't 'click' into the grommits of the tent easily enough - I had to use a little tension on the first insertion of each pole to prevent the pole from popping out when doing the other side. The grommits in the fly don't match up well with the grommits in the footprint, so just staked them together at their respective loops. I didn't like the sacks provided for the tent and poles - no drawstrings for the pole sack and no loop on the bottom of the bigger sack. These are picky 'cons' so I still gave it 5 stars because overall I really liked this tent and hope to continue to use it for a long time. I watched several videos on youtube before making the decision to buy this tent.

Comments about Marmot Limelight 4P Tent:

Really impressed with the Limelight 4p and how easy it was to assemble and then pack back up. Thoughtful design (ventilation, tons of rings to clip flashlights and carabeeners onto). Used it on a 4 day hike through the south end of the Lost Coast and loved the extra room for gear and how the vestibule kept gear and boots out of the elements without having to put them inside the tent. Its a very well made piece of equipment and worth every penny!
