Comments about Cannondale Bad Boy 9 Bike - 2012:
Changed the saddle (it was like cardboard) and grips (Ergon 1). Glad I bought this instead of the Quick 4

Comments about Cannondale Bad Boy 9 Bike - 2012:
I love this bike, the look is nice my only draw back with it is the saddle and bars, so far I haven't been able to ride this bike more then twenty miles because of the saddle it is really hard. I also am not happy with the T-handle bar I'd rather have bull horns or drop downs, but that is just personally preference. All in all great bike rides nice is fast shifts gears smoothly and quickly nice on hill climbs.

Comments about Cannondale Bad Boy 9 Bike - 2012:
Started out as a great bike. Was a fast and fun bike. Unfortunately, had a problem with the front brake sqeeking from day one. after dealing with it for about 2 weeks brought it back to REI. The bike mechanic tried everything from replacing the rotors to replacing the entire brake system and the sqeeking wouldnt stop. Finally he offered to build me an entirely new bike or refund my money. I took option number 2 and got a full refund. I did enjoy the bike but I am now questioning Cannondale's overall quality. I bought a new bike that Im really happy with.

Comments about Cannondale Bad Boy 9 Bike - 2012:
This bike is fantastic! Bought this after looking at the Quick 4, with the disc brakes and mostly comp components I figured this would handle the weather and road conditions in S.E. Alaska better. I am not disapointed. The bike handles the wet roads, poor road conditions and hills like a champ. I swapped out the stock saddle with a gel commuter model and after 8mi I don't feel like I've ridden on 8mi of bad road.
Oh, and the stealth black color scheme really turns a few heads.

Comments about Cannondale Bad Boy 9 Bike - 2012:
Bought this to commute 7mi to work. In S.E. Alaska the weather and roads are the biggest challange and this bike makes the ride a breeze. I swapped out the standard saddle for a gel commuter style to take some of the edge of the rough roads. The bike handles exceptionally well and you can't beat the cool color scheme either...

Comments about Cannondale Bad Boy 9 Bike - 2012:
Bought this bike about a week ago and have commuted to work on it five times, about 7 miles round trip each. My previous commuter bike was a trek mtb with slick 26" tires and it did OK but I had no idea how much more agile, responsive, and quicker a non pure road bike could be. The mtb with large tires and 100mm front fork was certainly a cushy ride over ruts, potholes etc.. but the Bad Boy does pretty well also. I may have to get out out of the saddle a little more often to absorb to road but not as much as I'd expected. The only issue I've had so far is with the relatively hard saddle in comparison to the previous bike but that can be easily changed though I may stick with the stock one for a while and see if it gets better sonce it matches the bike well. For city riding/commuting this has been the ideal bike for me so far and the reason I went to test ride it initially was based on reviews and description that led me to believe that was the case. It hasn't dissapointed. And I like the no frills package and flat paint job also.
