The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.
Rated5out of5bySlyHikerfromPerfect pants! Inconsistent sizingThese pants are wonderful- I bought two pairs of them last year to wear while traveling for 2 months. The pants are great for hiking or lounging. Very comfortable and flattering. Be sure to try them on in the store, for whatever reason (maybe they've fixed it since I bought my pants) the pants run in different sizes- I wear a size 6 in the grey and a size 4 in the green.
Pants are breathable, seem stain-resistant, were water resistant when I bought them, but after 14 months they could be waterproofed again. All snaps are still intact, have held up well against scrambling and hiking.

Rated5out of5bySYRfromI will buy another pair soon.I wore my pants yesterday for the first time. I don't know if my rating will be different after couple of uses, but today I am rating based on my first experience.
They are really comfortable and flattering. I am 5'4'' and the length was perfect for me with my hiking boots. It is also difficult for me to find a pant that fits my figure well (curvy) and these were perfect, so I recommend them to anyone with an hourglass/pear body type. I am normally a size 10 and it was true to the size. They dry really fast and give me freedom to move.
I wish they came in more colors, but other than that they are perfect for me. I love them.

Rated5out of5byScience GirlfromGreat work pantsI love these pants. I'm short, so expected to have to hem them, which I did. Other than that, the fit is great and flattering, and the pants are very flexible, so I can move around easily doing field work. I work in a very harsh environment (outside - NV desert) and the pants are sturdy, easy to wash in a sink (stay in motels a lot for work), quick drying, and comfortable.
They pack easily, and would be great for travel.
Only complaint is that when I'm out hiking they don't breathe that well, so my legs get a little sweaty.

Rated5out of5byazmom45fromprAna Halle PantsMy husband and I hiked down into the Grand Canyon, and then out to all of the waterfalls the next day. The pants are so comfortable, they allowed me to hike, climb, and crawl into every area we needed to get into. They were quick drying as well. I would buy the grey pair if they were darker!!

Rated4out of5byGoldenPoppyfromMy favoriteI tried several different styles, this was my favorite. (Others were NF Arches, Prana Monarch, Royal Robbins Discovery - you can read my reviews on these too) The Prana Halle was my favorite, in terms of fit.
I'm 5'6", 130lbs, 32-26-36. These were best for my figure. They stretched a bit, so that after a few wears they fit perfect in my trouble spot (hips/thighs)....unfortunately, after a few more wears, stretched out even further. Not quite as form fitting and flattering, but still perfectly comfy.
Couple complaints: 1. the excessive stretch - as I wonder how they will hold up backpacking. 2. the tie waist was bothersome to me, I'll probably get them tailored, and 3. as others mentioned, one of the buttons fell off after just 2 days.
To be clear about my opinion -I haven't taken them off since I got them, and am considering getting another pair in a different color. :)

Rated4out of5byTwombstonefromGreat for Light HikingI bought two new pairs of prana hiking pants for a month-long archaeological field school and a week-and-a-half backpacking trip in Scotland, I've always had REI zip-offs but wanted something that rolled up the leg rather than zipped. I love the rolled up feature and the pants fit perfectly, looked great, were made of quite durable stuff that stretched for easy movement and, most importantly, dried extremely quickly even when soaked through with water and sweat. The only cons were that lack of leg pockets; the small thigh pocket is really too small to put anything in and is at an odd angle, so I would have wanted a larger cargo pocket on the leg. Both buttons on both my pairs had fallen off by the time I was through with my hiking trip, so that's a con, but can be easily reinforced with some stronger thread at home. With or without buttons, however, the belt tie string is really not sturdy enough to keep up the pants when doing long periods of strenuous hiking. I will be buying a hiking belt for them in the future. Overall, they're a great fit which makes them a good purchase but you might have to make little modifications for longer periods of activity.
