    I bought these shorts and fell in love with them almost immediately. Super comfortable, perfect fit, just the right amount of stretch, and long enough to be warm weather work-appropriate in a more casual environment with a nice polo shirt. I have hips and the thighs of an Ironman, so I was happy that everything fit nicely. (If you're between sizes and have more shape on the bottom, I'd size slightly up.)

    After a couple months of regular casual wear (daily wear, walking, short errand-style bike rides) later, the back pockets started to come unstitched. After several months, the fabric started to wear through, especially anywhere I might have rubbed or along seams. This was sooner than I hoped or even expected. Some reinforcement in the seams and areas where fabric may rub would make these 5 star worthy.

    Because of how awesomely they fit I will probably buy them again, but probably not at full price. Wish I could give half stars, I'd probably go 3.5 - 4 seems generous, 3 seems low.

      A nearly perfect fit, these shorts are the right length and the right amount of stretch to be comfortable in all day long. They also look great and have pockets for everything, allowing me to not have to carry a purse! I would like several more in other colors.

      After wearing and washing these very cute shorts about 5 or 6 times, I figured they were winners and tossed the receipt. The other day someone pointed out to me that I was "busting out of my shorts." They fit perfectly so that was a shock. The material to the inside of the left front seam had pulled away and left a 2" opening. I am stuck with unwearable, unrepairable shorts. Shame on you Columbia! (My 1st negative review of these has not shown up on the rei website.)

      I bought these before it was warm enough to wear them. When I was able to use them, I was so happy with these shorts. They looked stylish, felt great, and I got lots of compliments. So sad that today, after washing and wearing them several times in the last 2 months, the fabric split away from the seam on the front left side. Don't have my receipt - tossed it because I felt sure they were OK and I'd get much more use out of them. They fit perfectly. I'm not a happy camper!!

          These shorts are so amazing I hardly know I'm wearing them. They are ultra comfortable and cute as can be plus I used my 20% coupon to make them even better. I love the magenta zip on the leg and the secure clasping with snaps. They look great with magenta or aqua or navy. I normally wear a 6 and I got them in an 8. The 6 was too small. The fabric is very soft and should be great with hot weather. The legs are not as tight as the Mountain Hardwear leg. I loved them so much I googled to find other colors and did find them.

            These are so cute! I am slender in the hips and they fit perfectly! They have some nice stretch, so they might work for women with fuller hips as well. They are lightweight and comfortable!
