Read More I bought these shorts primarily for wearing over a chamois for tour-cycling, and they didn't dissapoint. They are very comfortable, lightweight, and have held up well to rubbing against my bike's seat for many a mile. They only got wet once in a light rain, but dried out very quickly. I now have three pairs of these shorts, and wear them a lot. -

Read More PLEASE REI, read this review and others like it. The old design (internal belt, circa 2010 or so) were the BEST SHORTS I have EVER owned. I bought 3 pairs and I'm down to one now that are functional, because I wore them constantly, for everything. The new deisgn with the removable belt are not nearly as nice. Material not quite as good, and the belt is a pain. I would gladly pay list price for 5 pairs of the old design - they were that good. PLEASE BRING THEM BACK!!! -

Read More I've purchased a bunch of these shorts over the years. Loved them! (past tense) The old design was far superior. I don't like the new, removeable belt. If the old belt were kept, there would be no need for elastic, which is uncomfortable. The material this time around seems weak. REI, I hope you're reading. Why change a good thing? I hope you go back soon. Otherwise, I'm on the hunt for new, favorite shorts.

Read More Just got these and am very happy I ordered. Lots of pockets, some with zippers to keep your stuff sorted out. Nice light quick dry material. XL is a great fit for my 38" waist and the elastic waist is a nice feature.I think I will order another pair, exactly my style.
