    • HyVent® EC 2.5-layer substitutes natural (bean-derived) castor oil for 50% of the petroleum-based materials previously used in the manufacturing process
    • HyVent EC maintains excellent waterproof, breathable performance; it's ideal for spring skiing and snowboarding, as well as urban and city hiking
    • HyVent is lightweight and packable, moves easily over layers and is more breathable than unlined, treated fabrics
    • All seams are sealed for complete protection
    • Fully adjustable brimmed hood (with hidden drawcords) protects your head from precipitation and allows good visibility; soft lining guards chin against abrasion
    • Rip-and-stick stormflap prevents weather penetration through the full-length front zipper
    • Pit zippers allow cooling airflow as your activity heats up
    • Hem drawcord and elastic cuffs with rip-and-stick closures seal out the weather

        As for the performance of this jacket, I imagine the great reviews are accurate, however, as for the fit of this jacket, I was very unimpressed. TNF, for me at least, has always run slightly on the big side, but not enough to keep me from their jackets, of which I have a few. When I needed a quality rain jacket, I immediately went to the Venture and bought a small. I am 5'7", 140 lbs, and the small absolutely swallowed me, it fit more like a medium or large. I understand rain jackets are intentionally made to provide room for extra layers, but the Venture small is the largest "small" I've ever worn. Unfortunately, I had to return it, and opted for the more slim Mountain Hardwear Plasmic jacket.

        Went looking for a jacket I could wear during rainy weather around town, found it. Great looking jacket that does it's job. May not be best if stuck in a monsoon, but that's not what I bought it for!

          I though for the price it was not going to work out well, But I think it's worth every penny. Did a three day rock Climbing trip and every night we got stuck in some heavy rain and I walked out dry.. Not a drop inside the acket. I read a lot of peple's complains about this Jacket, but when this wears out I wil buy once more. I also like how it has a zipper inside for you to add a light jacket inside it. So I zipped a fleece liner in my... Perfect for hanging out on the crag while belaying a climber.. Love it....
