The REI Member Dividend
The REI dividend is a unique benefit of membership in the REI co-op. It's comprised of your member refund—typically 10% back on eligible purchases—and/or your REI Visa® card rebates.
Each March, active REI members and REI Visa cardholders who earned a rebate receive a refund in the form of an annual dividend notice.
Only active members receive annual dividend notices. To maintain your active status as an REI member, you need to make net merchandise or shipping purchases of at least $10 per year, unless you joined that year. Member numbers are issued in one name and only that person receives the member refund. Your number can be used by others in your family, but it cannot be transferred to someone else.

My 5-year-old loves these convertible shorts-pants. They fit well for the most part and wear well. Provides great sun protection year-round, especially during the hot summer. I bought a size XXS (size 4-5) last year, and they were quite long. They do not roll-up well and are difficult to hem due to the zipper along the side. This year (child is 45 1/2 inches tall) they are still a tiny bit long and touch the ground, but are wearable. The size chart is a way off because according to it, size XXS should fit a child who is 44 inches tall.

They performed as expected and held up well on our recent section hike on the AT. Zippers held up, no buttons came off. Quality product at a decent price.

I'm an Appalachian Trail section-hiker. I have 2 pairs of these pants that I take on my trips and love them. I'm somewhat tall and very thin and they fit much better then the women's pants for me. :)

These pants are wonderful! Our 4 year old daughter recieved a pair of these as a gift and loves them. They are easy for her to zip off and for us too. Each leg is color-coordinated to match the bottom piece which makes it very easy to reattach correctly. Light weight for biking yet has withstood thorns and lots of fun in the mud while exploring off the trail. Plenty of room for layers which will be good for cooler weather. Bottom line: great pants. We want another pair!

I did my first long backpacking trip in them, and they were spectacular. Perfect fit, breathable, and they dry so quickly I use them as a swim suit!

It may seem strange, but I bought these for my son. He is super slim, and the boys pants, with wider legs and big cargo pockets, along with the longer shorts length, just don't look good on him. These pants are slimmer through the leg and body, the pockets are reasonable (he doesn't even use them that much, so we don't need the cargoes, just the side pockets are enough), and the shorts length is above the knee. Call me crazy, but the below-knee length that is popular for boys just aren't shorts. They're clamdiggers, deck pants, something else! Anyway, a size 6-7 was great on my 48" tall boy, with room to grow. They are actually flattering and not girly (no gathers, good neutral colors, etc, except for a pink tag and pink elastic on the inside that no one will see) and have the adjustable elastic waist. Also bought the size 4-5 (XS) for my 4 year old daughter who is 37" tall. They are a bit long, but have an adjustable waist that the toddler Roll-Up pants did not.
The side seam that zips open on the pants leg is an interesting feature. Haven't tried it yet, but more versatility can't hurt!
