by fromGreat watch, and everything you need to be outside Bought this before going on multiple hikes around the country. I was initially interested in buying a GPS watch but realized that I didn't need to track everything I did. With this watch having an altimeter, barometer, a compass, all you need is a map and you're ready to go. The altimeter is pretty much spot on, maybe 20-40 feet off sometimes but that was just after hiking up 5k feet. It's also great that it charges on solar power, there's no need for staying hooked up to a power outlet on a trip.

by fromAmazing watch!!! I bought this watch because I moved to Guam and knew that I would be scuba diving, snorkeling, and spending time in the ocean. I love the tide feature, it is very accurate. The barometer, compass, and altimeter work great! If you spend time in the outdoors hiking or in the water it is the watch for you. I love this watch and was torn between the ProTrek and the glad I went with the ProTrek. My only complaint and it's nothing major is that it is a little heavy. However, for what you get it is expected. Best watch I have every owned!

by fromExcellent Travel/Adventure Watch I purchased the watch specifically so I'd have a reliable Travel/Adventure watch. I did a lot of research and on various Casio G-Shock watches and looked into some other brands: Timex, Suunto, Armitron. None of the others have the features packed into them for the price. So far it is an excellent watch and though it takes time getting to know how to operate it, if you are a detail-oriented type individual this watch is excellent. My biggest critiques: • The Compass bezel must be like aluminum because it scratches really easy. • Unlike Timex, Casio doesn't have a lighting feature that stays on; so when you cycle through the features, the light turns off after 3 seconds leaving you lost on where you are at. • The Alarm is only good between 1min-60min. Why they do not let it go from seconds to hours is beyond me... All in all, the watch is reliable and accurate. The barometer, thermometer and altimeter are pretty accurate and deviate very little and do not require recalibration often. Time will tell how durable the watch really is and how reliable it will be to keep going.

by fromGreat watch, display is a little crowded Hard to beat a Casio, loved the watch but returned it for a casio pag 240, I could not read the time without my glasses,,,, the tide displAy takes up too much of the screen for me. Keep in mind the tide will only work for one location, so not too much value there do the display realestate. Great watch, but just too crowded for me.

by fromI love the watch, but a little "screwy" I use this when hiking and traveling the world for work. I love it for keeping track of time in different locations and the compass provides comfort when out walking around a new town. My only complaint is the screws and bar holding the band on. The top set is loose. It does not come off, but it rattles a bit. I took it back to the store to trade it in only to find that another new one had the same issue. I kept my original watch. The screws are tight in the bar, but it seems to be a just a bit too long. Maybe for thermal expansion/contraction? It has not had any issues and I really like it, I just wish the screws/bar didn't rattle.

by fromProTrek PRW2500-1 This is a great multi-sensor watch. My only gripe is the low-res of the tide graph - only two hour blocks. And the band is wearing in the grommet hole that I buckle - minor though. Other than that this is a great watch. I wear it everyday on land and in the ocean. It is very comfortable and the multi-sensors are real handy.
