        I use the watch mainly as an altimeter and Barometer. This thing has everything. It works great as long as you calibrate it before you will be needing it as an altimeter or barometer. It will only take you about a minute to calibrate based on your current location and given information (i.e. the elevation of the base of a mountain climb). the compass is also very accurate and has been able to help when my GPS shuts down, this watch is solar powered and never shuts down.

        I bought at REI in Arcadia and had it shipped to my house free, since it was over 50 dollars. It was a great experience everyone there is very friendly.

        I use it to keep track of the altitude when skiing. I have to get used to the fact that barometric changes are affecting the altitude reading, so it has to be corrected when at a known altitude(like the ski base). I like having the time accurately updated every night. The temperature readings unfortunately are affected by my body temperature. It never seems to need to be recharged, relying on ambient light. So far it appears to be an excellent product at a reasonable price.

        This is a great multi-sensor watch. My only gripe is the low-res of the tide graph - only two hour blocks. And the band is wearing in the grommet hole that I buckle - minor though.
        Other than that this is a great watch. I wear it everyday on land and in the ocean. It is very comfortable and the multi-sensors are real handy.

          I bought this watch because I moved to Guam and knew that I would be scuba diving, snorkeling, and spending time in the ocean. I love the tide feature, it is very accurate. The barometer, compass, and altimeter work great! If you spend time in the outdoors hiking or in the water it is the watch for you. I love this watch and was torn between the ProTrek and the Suunto...so glad I went with the ProTrek. My only complaint and it's nothing major is that it is a little heavy. However, for what you get it is expected. Best watch I have every owned!

            I really vacillated between this watch and the Suunto, and spent some time with both models. I decided to go for this model predominantly because it seemed to be more bullet-proof, plus I liked the fact that it does have the tidal features (which I'll put to use in my kayaking expeditions). So far I've been impressed with the watch- looks good, packed full of features, feels pretty light on my wrist, and just feels solid and well built. Time will tell how all these features actually pan out in extreme conditions, so an update might be forthcoming.
