This is a good watch for track practice, to keep your laps in order. It does take a bit of time to set all of the intervals on it, so keep that in mind, and try to set them before your workout starts, because it's hard once you're in motion. The split button is great because you can easily hit it while running full speed and then look back at your splits later. The buttons they chose for up and down are a little counter intuitive relative to the older models, so it took some getting used to. Overall a sturdy, reliable watch. I got the neon green too, so it really stands out.

I've only worn these timex Ironman watches for the past 2 years. The lap clocks, alarms, interval timers, etc., make it very convienent whether I'm setting the time on my tea steeping or marking laps around the pool. I confess that I've gone through 2 of these watches and now I'm on my third. I've had previous experience with the quick discloration, stratches, and non-water-resistence. That said, the latest model of the sleek has held up much better than its predeccessors and I haven't experienced any of those previous durability issues.

The indiglo feature wore out after a couple weeks. Fortunately, REI's customer service is awesome so I was able to exchange it for a new one. Second one seems to be holding up ok, but after having already gone through one I'm not too confident in it.

I had this watch for four years. After about 3, the clasp that holds the loose end of the band broke off, as other reviewers have noticed. Then the plastic cracked and the entire watch band broke off into pieces. Also, the light color of the plastic/rubber band became completely discolored within just a few months. By the end it was a green/blue/gray that was quite unattractive. Thankful only for REI's fantastic return policy as a Co-Op member. I would not recommend buying this watch, especially considering the price. I never had any problems with water resistance, however, and it made it through a triathlon and years of lap swimming like a charm.

I have had this watch for about a month. So far it has worked well. I wear it at work and I have to wash my hands multiple times a day (I work in a hospital) and it has withstood that. I did notice a scratch on it, but I am also a clumsy person. The numbers are big, which makes it easy to use when I am running. And it has been quite comfortable.

This is my third Timex Ironman watch. I love them. They are easy to use, comfortable, and fits well. I am a track coach and it is perfect for timing athletes. Easy to read, easy to use.

I have owned 4 of these watches in the past 5 years. I wear it 24/7 and use it for lap splits in swimming. I LOVE this watch, multiple alarms, comfortable, but the part about the little strap that holds the band down is true--it will likely break within a year with heavy wear. I only had 1 break due to water behind the screen--otherwise that's not been a problem as long as you don't push buttons under water(and I swim in it regularly). I have not found another watch I like better so I keep going back to this....

I loved this watch for timing my runs, daily alarm, and of course time and date features. I ran in the rain, showered and swam with the watch and never had problems with moisture getting in the watch.

The watch band, however, was a complete disaster. After 9 months the small hoop that keeps the end of the band tucked next to the watch broke off, and I had to use a rubber band or tape to keep the end of the band from sticking out and catching on things. Then at 15 months the band cracked and the clasp broke off entirely. Unfortunately because of how the band is constructed (integrated into the watch) you CANNOT replace the band. The watch still works great sitting on my bedstand, but I can no longer wear it.

On a side note, Timex only warranties their watches for 1 year, but the watch band is EXCLUDED from this warranty. You have to wonder if the bands are designed for failure (planned obsolescence) so that you have to purchase a whole new watch every year or so.

I bought two of these and learned the hard way that all the bad reviews are true. This is such a cool looking watch but its terrible terrible quailty. On my first watch the band broke within a year. The second one died within 2months of owning it ONLY because I jumped into the ocean and apparently the salt was enough to destroy the screens plastic casing. Stay away!

I work in the medical field so I am constantly washing my hands. I loved this watch but unfortunately I had the same problem that others reported. It worked for a while and then one day it got water behind the screen. I had the watch for less than 6 months. It seems that it is a design flaw as it has happened to multiple people. I will be selecting a different watch to replace this one. It's too bad, I really liked the design.
