Like the previous reviewer, I was having trouble finding a small, simple, comfortable waist bag for when I was travelling light but still wanted a DSLR and maybe one extra lens. I thought this bag would the ticket, but it has one critical design flaw: while it will fit a Nikon D7000 with 18-200 lens (barely), getting the body in and out of the bag through the single top zipper is challenging. The bag really needs a double (parallel) zipper on top or a D shaped zipper to access a DSLR. I'm still going to try it on my upcoming trip to Europe, but I have a feeling I'll be taking the camera out and leaving it around my neck most of the time to avoid having to put it in and take it out of the bag.

Comments about Mountainsmith Swift FX Camera Waist Pack:

Trying to find a relatively small camera waist pack that didn't have a zillion flaps and buckles covering the camera compartment was a chore... until I found this one! I use this for my G10 on day hikes... it's perfect, and so comfy! You can fit a smaller DSLR in to too, but my D7000 is too big. It has removable and adjustable (velcro) padded dividers in the main compartment which is EASILY accessible with one overhead, weatherproof zipper. A smaller zippered compartment in front is perfect for keys, cellphone, etc. And the little zippered pouch on the waist belt is so convenient for dog treats! The waist belt is easily adjustable and stays put. It has a good size buckle and two adjustment straps with elastic stays, so you don't have any flapping straps. Also, between the main compartment and front compartment is a "stash" area, perfect for gloves, doggie pickup bags, or anything you would like to reach without undoing everything. It is really well made with quality materials. I am so happy with this waist pack and highly recommend it!
