      I learned a lot from this book. I'm using many tips on my backpack trips, and I've been a lightweight backpacker for ten years. I still have sticky notes on 18 pages of stuff to try on future trips.

      The writing is light and funny, with great cartoons/illustrations. Mike knows what he's talking about. The layout makes it easy to skip around and find tips relevant to your needs, but it's worth reading cover to cover for the hidden gems.

      The best tip is #125, "The tried & true Mini-Bic", where you are shown how to remove the annoying "thingy" to make lighting much easier!
