Comments about Reliance Beverage Buddy Water Container - 4 gal.:
I was looking forward to using this instead of buying bottled water for each camping trip, but will be returning it. I used it twice and each time it leaked from the threading where the nozzle attaches. It had to be kept on end the whole time. Try something else.

Comments about Reliance Beverage Buddy Water Container - 4 gal.:
We live in a Mother-In-Law type quarters that does not have in-room access to water. We use the Beverage Buddy to hold drinking water. We have it sitting on a bookshelf, and it always has water in it. We have to refill it every few days, but we have not had any problems with leaking. We are really happy with our purchase. When we go camping, it will be going with us. We make sure we have lid on tight. We have to tip it to get the last big of water out, but when it gets that low, we just refill it. We would definitely recommend this item to others.

Comments about Reliance Beverage Buddy Water Container - 4 gal.:
What is the ONE THING you'd expect from a water container? Or put it this way: What's the ONE THING you don't want from a water container, especially when you're out in the middle of nowhere, like the deserts of Utah? If you guessed, to hold water as an answer to the first question, and not to leak as an answer to the second question, you're right, both counts. This is the second "Beverage Buddy" I'd purchased. I thought the leakage from first one that leaked was a fluke, a manufacturing error, but no, the second one was the same. I now know why this company is called "Reliance". That is, if you buy this product, which is designed to hold water, you can RELY on ONE THING: it will leak, a lot. Stay away from the "Beverage Buddy".

I will probably try another because it was certainly a defect though I fear Reliance may becoming like Coleman.

You should buy something else- these break very easily. I hope REI drops them from the catalog.

Comments about Reliance Beverage Buddy Water Container - 4 gal.:
Used this product twice. When used the second time the thread area where the nozzle screws into the base split. This caused the container to leak. During the trip it had to be placed on end for water storage otherwise most of the water would leak out. I think this would be a fantastic product if the threading would be made of a more durable plastic or metal!
