Comments about Planet Bike Superflash Turbo Rear Bike Light:
This light is dangerously flawed. The switch or the battery contacts are the problem. The light will switch off over bumps while riding. I rarely write reviews, but I just got home from my commute after being honked at by some cars. Then I realized the rear light was OFF! I stopped and turned it back to flash mode - one minute later, OFF AGAIN! I stopped and opened it to check that the batteries were in correctly - yep just fine. They are new batteries too. Tried again.. same problem. This is awfully dangerous because you don't know when the light is working since it's behind you. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Get a DiNotte or something of higher quality or with a REAL SWITCH. This is going back to REI with a serious complaint to their management regarding procurement. Shame on you PlanetBike. I've bought your lights in the past, but this may be the last.

Comments about Planet Bike Superflash Turbo Rear Bike Light:
Super short review. If they don't see you with this light - they're blind! As I have no car, I want/needed the best rear light available for city riding and commuting. This is it.

Comments about Planet Bike Superflash Turbo Rear Bike Light:
I have a few PB lights, this one, the stealth half watt tail light on another bike, and one of the blaze head lights. Love their stuff, no problems and does what its suppose to. Straight forward flash with random pops on the bigger red light, or your standard continuous illumination.

Comments about Planet Bike Superflash Turbo Rear Bike Light:
This light is much brighter than Planet Bicycles other models. Since I installed this light, every car has switched lanes before passing me. I highly recommend it. The only complaint I have is that the mount does not allow you to fine tune the angle of the light.

Comments about Planet Bike Superflash Turbo Rear Bike Light:
I bought this light in the store because its flash mode seemed to provide more visibility than more expensive models. This light has great visibility and worked for about a month before I noticed a troubling design flaw.
When I arrived home from my commute one night, I noticed that the light had turned off at some point during my ride. This behavior has gotten progressively worse, and I've noticed that the light turns itself off whenever I ride over a bump in the road. I will be returning this light immediately.

Comments about Planet Bike Superflash Turbo Rear Bike Light:
I have had the same issues listed here by others: the light will turn off on every bump. Jump a curb, its off. Hit a piece of gravel its off. Cannot be used for night cycling safely. Great thing about REI is the gave me full refund no question asked!

Comments about Planet Bike Superflash Turbo Rear Bike Light:
The turbo version of this taillight is noticeably brighter than its older sibling Planet Bike Superflash Rear Bike Light. But it suffers from reliability issue involving temperamental circuitry: the taillight would switch itself off.
I bought my first one in spring 2011 and that one has problem staying on for more than 5 minutes, even when it's not on the bike. Contacted PlanetBike customer support and a replacement was sent to me. Around the same time, i also replaced my wife's bike's older Superflash Rear Bike Light with the same Turbo version. When the weather got cooler, for example below 50 degrees, we were not able to get the taillight to stay on. In fact, after riding for about 15 minutes in 45-degree weather, the taillight would turn off immediately after being turned on. According to PlanetBike's friendly customer support, they have a batch of taillight with bad circuitry problem. They are shipping two replacements for us and I will update this review after testing them.

Comments about Planet Bike Superflash Turbo Rear Bike Light:
Over the years I've tried dozens of tail lights and have found the Superflash to be the best combination of brightness, reliability, and durability. Contrary to its name, I tend to mainly use it on the solid mode. Because the light is so bright I worry the flash might just be a little too offensive.
Love that the on/off button requires a good, solid push so that it doesn't accidentally get switched on if its bouncing around inside a bag.
While it comes to two mounting options, it would be great if it came with two complete mounts so one light could work on a couple of bikes.

Comments about Planet Bike Superflash Turbo Rear Bike Light:
Have tried other tail lights. PB 1W is by far the most visible. Wife and I both use now and have logged 1200 miles in 2011. On the big climbs, when my wife destroys me, I am always amazed at how visible her PB light is. From 1/4 mile back, the 1W flash is hard to miss. A few drivers will always hate cyclists and buzz us every time; however, for the rest of the drivers, these little lights make us much more visible. The only light I will use ...

Comments about Planet Bike Superflash Turbo Rear Bike Light:
I use a pair of these lights mounted vertically on my seat post. They are very bright and noticeably brighter than the normal superflash tail-light.
My friends who happen to be riding behind me all tell me how obnoxiously bright it is.
That's a good thing to hear. You want drivers to see you really well. I use them in the daytime, too.
On overcast days they really show up well.
The mount is pretty good. Not the best, but functional. They work best mounted under the seat
as they don't appear to be especially waterproof, but I've never had one stop working in the rain.
