Comments about Mountain Hardwear Compressor Jacket - Men's:
Great jacket that does what it's supposed to do - lightweight layer that packs down decently well and keeps you warm. Not meant to be an expedition style jacket, but works well for cold nights around camp, on mild hikes or around town. Haven't had any problems with wind (yet) nor with very light rain in the Pacific NW, but wearing this with a rainshell would probably be best in harsher weather.
The only critique I have is that the elastic bands inside the wrist cuffs have twisted around on themselves within the shell. As a result, the wrist cuffs are mildly irritating and hard to put back in its place but no problems arose when I took it on a 10 mile hike. Might just be my bad luck and not necessarily a design flaw.

Looks great with Jeans and also dressed up. Perfect coat for Southern California's quirky weather without rain. Layers well and is lightweight.

I love this jacket! It is very warm but I find I can wear it in a very wide range of temps; I wear it Fall>Winter>Spring. I wear this skiing, hiking, cold weather camping, and around town. I wear this with a shell in wet weather or if I am trail blazing through the woods.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Compressor Jacket - Men's:
Bought the Compressor as a light weight hiking jacket. It fits very nicely and is definately the most comfortable jacket i own (and i have many). I have used it on many hikes and most recently on a week long hike in Kings Canyon. It is very warm and durable considering how light this thing is, kept me warm down into the 30's with a fleece base layer under it. The name is very fitting it compresses down to almost nothing in the pack making it an excellent option for hiking when weight and size is crucial. also doubled as an outstanding pillow at night. If your looking for an awesome light weight layer that will block the wind and keep you warm, The Mountain Hardwear Compressor is it.

I picked up this jacket up with my dividend last year and all I can say is I love it! I use this jacket for everything from backcountry skiing to walking around town. it does a great job regulating body temp, I wear this with just a tee shirt underneath in 20 degree weather and feel nothing. Highly recommended!

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Compressor Jacket - Men's:
This jacket is really great. In fact, there was a 2 year period that I wore this jacket at least once every single day. In the summers that was only in the morning but, in the winters I wore it all day long.
I wore it so much my wife and kids starting calling it my "wubby". At the end of two years I bought another---funny thing with the new one----it seemed warmer, the cuffs were a bit smaller (had a hard time getting my hand in and out), and the fit was a bit different.
I am really bummed the second one was not as perfect as the first but, I am not giving up. I will be sending my first jacket back to MH for repair as after two years the zippers won't stay zipped. I am also on the hunt for me next perfect jacket. Due to the problem with my second jacket I will be looking at other manufacturers--although so far I have not had any luck

I have used this backpacking, skiing, and to wear casually around town here in Seattle. It has everything that i like in a simple jacket: Really comfortable chamois around the neck and in the pockets, good hem drawcords that can be tightened with one hand, comfortable, and warm. This jacket and a waterproof 2.5 layer shell have kept me almost too warm skiing in the high 20s with nothing but a long-sleeve shirt underneath. I bought it on sale. I would probably look for other options if i had to pay the full retail price.

I LOVE THIS JACKET. IT IS VERY SOFT. IT DOES SEEM LIKE IT WOULD TEAR EASILY IF YOU SNAGGED A BRANCH OR BRIARS.
