    These socks are great for keeping kids warm from 45 degrees down to below zero. My kids wear them every day from October into April. Worth every penny. I have tired REI wool socks and several other smartwool wool socks, including several "hiker" ones. These are the best because: 1. they stay up 2. over the calf makes them super warm 3. great moisture wicking 4. I don't worry about my kid going out to recess during colder months 5. They have worn super well. I have passed these socks down through 3 kids! (makes price worth it).
