I was excited to try out these pants. I wore them once on a 10 mile snowshoe. They fit and moved well just as expected. However, when I washed them the first time, according to the instructions, the pocket on the thigh fell off. I returned the pants and got another pair. I again wore them once and when I washed them (following instructions) the thigh pocket on the second pair came off again. One side of the pocket is sewn into the side seam of the pants. The other 3 sides of the pocket are glued on. However, this glue does not hold up to the washing machine. For the price of these pants, I would expect them to last through several washings. I have returned the second pair and am now searching for a higher quality pant.

I bought a pair of these pants probably 4 years ago and wear them almost daily in the winter for everything I do outdoors. They go on the minute I get home from work. I bought them a bit larger than my normal size so I can wear them over long johns or even polartec riding breeches when I ride horses on cold days. These pants are great - they have held up amazingly well to everything from horse-back rides to hikes to tree-pruning marathons. The cloth is very sturdy but not heavy, and I like the fact that hay and dry grass doesn't stick to it. They aren't really attractive, but that isn't why I bought them. I'd call them a great value, even at the price.
