Comments about REI Mistral Pants -Women's:

I wanted a pair of pants for bike commuting that didn't look like athletic gear. These really fit the bill. They are super comfortable for biking because of the stretch and cut. The many zippered pockets add to security and convenience and will be great for travel too. They're listed as wind pants, but I don't find them particularly good in that respect. However, they are very warm and comfortable with a base layer. This January I've been wearing Patagonia mid weight base layer under the Mistral pants. I'm considering another pair before REI discontiues them.

The pants kept my legs warm in the cold (snow), and my legs never got too hot when I was warm. The pants were perfect! I was very pleased with how it didn't feel like snow pants....Very comfortable and light weight. I'm very happy I decided to purchase them.

I used to be an avid adventurer & I know good outdoor clothing. These are the best looking, most comfortable pants. I needed something to wear to all day ski races, outside as a spectator, etc. I can fit microfiber tights underneath to make them warmer, & there is no discomfort, not bulky & a breeze to go to the restroom.
I get a lot of compliments on them. People think they are black jeans, can't figure out what they are. I bought them on a whim to try yet another product to see if it would work.
Most fitted pants fit me weird. I have muscular legs & rear & the size fit perfectly. I was expecting them to not fit right. The size 10 womens Long was too long for me, so I tried the men's 32 x 32 I think it was & it fit exactly the same, just had double stitching. No regrets getting these, worth every penny.
Can you tell I like them?
