Comments about Joby Gorillamobile Tripod for iPhone 4:
Getting ready to go to Yosemite, I thought I'd pick this up for taking shots of waterfalls. As soon as I put the case around the iphone, the case constantly forced down the power button. While holding the phone steady, the powerdown screen would come on asking to "slide to power off". This drains battery life when in your pocket, and makes using the phone impossible because you keep getting interrupted by it trying to shutdown.
I managed to find a temporary position where the case would not push this button. When I tried to take the picture, the mere act of touching the screen shook the phone and tripod. The tripod is not sturdy enough to hold the phone or camera steady.
Overall, this feels like a cheap plastic toy. It is quite obvious that after several uses, the likelihood of the case snapping in two increases exponentially.
This product could be so great if they put a little more care into production. Unfortunately, we're left with a $30/$40 crackerjack prize.
