    Great helmet for price. Color seems to shows scratches easily. Straps are a bit frustrating to fit. Is a tad heavy but is a full helmet with few vents. Is well ventilated for full helmet and didn't get to hot on 85 degree day

      I wore this helmet all last summer mountain biking in Chico. It's hot here-90+ degrees on day rides. Ventilation works well but not as good as a full ventilation helmet. I bought this helmet because #1- it looked solid and #2 price. I don't normally buy helmets based on price (I also ride motorcycles and wear Arai only) but this helmet looked and felt solid on my head.
      As it turned out, I got the opportunity to test this helmet. I was following a friend on a high speed downhill section of single track. Long story short, I grabbed a handful of front brake when my buddy suddenly stopped in front of me. I got tossed over the bars and landed square on the front of my helmet. Head first. After a quick check of my parts, I realized I was OK. I took my helmet off and discovered it did as it was supposed to. The shell was cracked and showed where the impact had been absorbed. I'm a believer in this helmet.
