Comments about Goal Zero Rock Out Portable Speaker:
Let me just start by saying i hate headphones especially in the great outdoors now i will never be without music on my outings.
Great full sound for such a small unit actually has some bottom end to it. the volume is better than expected mind you this is a small portable speaker system
but just loud enough to rock out.
It perfectly holds my samsung captivate
Again amazing so glad i bought it best of all is the price.

Comments about Goal Zero Rock Out Portable Speaker:
We use this speaker system on the patio and pack it when we travel to the beach. The sound is surprisingly good for such an inexpensive product. I think they kept it simple, which makes for a great product.

Comments about Goal Zero Rock Out Portable Speaker:
The best sound quality from a small speaker system under $100. Has just enough bass power to make music enjoyable. There isn't a multitude of bass, but this is a small speaker system for [$]. Absolutely perfect for the price.

Comments about Goal Zero Rock Out Portable Speaker:
This thing produces amazing sound for such a small package and at its price! It makes watching movies on my MacBook much more enjoyable. And I have music available anywhere I am without headphones via my iPod Nano. It also seems to go for long periods of time between charges. Sometimes it will be a couple weeks of casual use before I have to recharge it!
Its storage pocket is the perfect home for my Apple remote.
If I had one small complaint it would be about the positioning of the zipper. If it were flipped to go the other direction the headphone cable would be the perfect length to plug into a computer as it could be fed out of the case easier. As is it is slightly too short for good positioning with the zipper mostly closed. Minor issue I solved with a short extension cable.

Comments about Goal Zero Rock Out Portable Speaker:
Was excited to get this speaker as a gift. Thought it would be a great addition to campfire dinners and drinks when backpacking. Tested the speaker first at home--thought the sound quality was really nice for such a small package. However, found ourselves straining to hear at the maximum volume when around the campfire.
The speaker's sound quality comes at the expense of weight. It is just fine for a tailgate or at the beach--but I'd prefer something lighter and less bulky for my backpack. Note that I try to value everything on a backpacking trip for its "weight to value"--so this is truly a nit-pick.
Overall a great product by a great company (just purchased the Nomad 7 kit).
