Comments about Terry Liberator Y Saddle - Men's:
I ride about 100 miles a week. My commute to work is 12 miles each way. I've been riding at about this rate for a few years now, and have tried a variety of saddles. I like brooks saddles, but wanted to try this just to see if maybe i wasn't missing out of something.
Before I say anything nice, i'm going to say that no other saddles has EVER chaffed me as bad as this thing did. I returned it after 100 miles, because I *really* wanted to make sure this wasn't gonna work. It's been a week since I took it back and I'm still chaffed, it's horrible and I wouldn't wish this on anyone. I couldn't tell you why this saddle causes this problem, but it does.
On the positive side, you can slide the saddle back farther on the rails than you can with a Brooks, and the shape of the cutout avoids any numbness issues. It would be nearly perfect if not for the chaffing. I am curious to see if the Liberator Gel saddle doesn't have the same issue, but I think I learned my lesson and will just put back my Brooks B-17 and never wonder again....
Service and delivery comments:
I had it delivered to my local REI and picked it up. That's how I always do it, it's free and easy. I wouldn't have to have so many things delivered here if they stocked more in the store, but that's another story....

Comments about Terry Liberator Y Saddle - Men's:
I have three of these saddles on various bikes and find them very comfortable and appear to be very durable too. I am a big guy and this one has a very nice combination of padding and the pressure relieving cutout that works for me. Unlike the another review, I have had no problems with the stitching. No saddle fits everyone so try it in the store if you can.

Comments about Terry Liberator Y Saddle - Men's:
The saddle appears to be well built and presented no real problems on short rides, however on longer rides (2 hours or more) the chaffing became unbearable and left visible redness on my "glutes" from rubbing on the stitching design, even after multiple attempts to adjust position and wearing heavily padded Pearl Izumi shorts. The last straw was a 45 mile ride that burned so bad I forgot about the fatigue in my legs! Simply a poorly designed product whose packaging indicates it was created for distance riding. Mine will be returned shortly. Do not purchase this product.
