Amphipod Hydraform Handheld Thermal-Lite Bottle with Pocket is rated 3.7143 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the best handheld The valve on this handheld is very difficult to open and close. Requires a strong grip, which is difficult if your hands are sweaty. Also, the lid often appears to be secured and properly threaded, only to find that the liquid leaks in large quantities on first use. The harness can interfere with the seal on the lid, requiring the user to stop running and rethread the lid while trying to keep the harness out of the way. I also purchased a Nathan, and found that to be much easier to use.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So easy to carry! Use for 5-7 mile trail runs. Works well when you don't feel like dragging water on your back or around your waist.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to carry, but leaks a little I carry this on medium and longer runs and carry energy chews in the pouch. It fits comfortably in my hand, so I forget I'm carrying it - almost. Mine leaks slightly when turned upside-down or when shook (like the motion your hand makes when running). I don't lose a lot of water and I'm usually already soaked from sweat, so it isn't a big deal. I like this bottle so much that when I forgot it at my sister's house, I bought another one (the first one didn't have a leaking problem) .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for shorter runs My friend and I each bought a Amphipod Hydraform Handheld Thermal-Lite Bottle with Pocket for our training for a half marathon. We couldn't be happier with our purchase. The pocket is great for holding keys or id/credit card. The strap is adjustable and fits on our small hands. The capacity isn't huge, so for longer runs, we would either need to find a place to fill-up or might look into a belt that holds more water bottles. I definitely recommend the Amphipod Hydraform Handheld Thermal-Lite Bottle with Pocket.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best hydration for running Easy to carry and use while running and holds a good amount of water. The pocket is great for holding keys and fuel but not big enough for a phone. Sleeve adds comfort but not a significant amount of insulation. My only problem is the strap chafes my hand a bit, so I switch off hands every mile.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Leaks at nozzle. Use this while training and racing, primarily marathons. I like to carry a water bottle during marathons to that I can add my own electrolytes to water, so I was looking for a bottle that was easy to carry on very long runs. The amphipod is indeed easy to carry. That's really about the best thing I can say about it. Mine leaks at the spout. Badly. You can not put it a race bag because it gets everything wet. So you have to carry it all the time. Cannot even lay it on its side. Even with the nozzle down, squeezing it while running will result in a spray of water. The other thing I do not like is that the two-piece design of the sleeve. One is the grip, with two rings that fit over the neck and base of the bottle. The top is fine and always stays put, because the cap secures it to the bottle. But the base slips off too often. And it's not easy to put back on while running. The other piece is the bottle insulator, which I always seem to put on wrong the first time and have to take it off and put it back on. And I don't notice that it does that great of a job as an insulator. Mostly, it just helps you grip the bottle when your hands are sweaty. The other thing I'm not that crazy about is the curved and somewhat narrow design. I guess it's supposed to make it easier to hold and/or drink while running. But I don't think it really does either; it's not much different than holding a regular-shaped bottle with a grip. And the curved design makes it very unstable while filling the bottle. The grip holds about two gels and money. That's about it. It does not hold an iPhone or my (large) car keys. I bought this to replace a Camelbak Quick Grip, which I liked, but lost. I thought this would be an improvement, but it's not. A water bottle this expensive should actually hold water.
